1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Pimp my Schwinn/Electra/Cruiser Bike? on: April 19, 2006 06:33:12 PM
Hey there everybody!  I was searching around for bike ideas and saw there hasn't been a bike related swap.  I was thinking making accessories would be fun, like streamers, bike bags, saddle bags, etc...  I have trucker chick mudflaps for my schwinn cruiser, I was thinking stuff like that...  Any ideas?  Any takers?  I don't think I'd be ready to start in on this until May, which I guess isn't that far off, especially with you school types finals and the like.  I'm curious to see if anyone is interested in this.
Thanks guys!
2  Illinois / Illinois: North / Anywhere in IL that sells Pullip or Blythe dolls? on: March 27, 2006 07:28:56 AM
Hi there everybody!  I am wondering if there is anywhere in the Chambana/Bloomington/Chicago areas that sells Pullip or Blythe dolls.  I really want one bad but would like to check them out before I shell out almost a hundred bucks for one like I've been seeing on ebay.  I'm hoping theres some where in state I could drag the hubby to to look at them with me so maybe I'll get one for mother's day Cheesy
Thanks guys!

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / What would you use to decoupage onto a ceiling with? on: January 18, 2006 02:49:06 PM
Hi there, I am planning on decoupaging the ceiling in my bedroom and am wanting to use something that I will be able to change (remove) in a couple of years.  I was thinking regular decoupage paste, but don't know if that will come off very easily.  Wallpaper paste would be the other obvious choice.  Does anybody have any experience with this?  I am afraid of damaging the plaster on my ceiling if I don't use the right stuff. Thanks for any advice Cheesy
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / transferring a design to a speedball "Speedy Cut" carving block on: November 22, 2005 06:23:18 PM
Does any one know how to transfer a design onto said product? I am having problems getting a carbon paper transfer and I have tried xylene before and had no luck, as I have an inkjet printer.  I'm really in a pinch, I'm in the middle of making christmas party invitations.  I would sure appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks guys

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Anybody know of anything to do with leaves? on: November 11, 2005 12:58:55 PM
I have ALL these leaves in my yard!  I have a really hard time putting them in bags to throw away or burning them.  I refuse to actually.  Any ideas?  there has to be a higher purpose for the leaves after the trees are done with them.  Any and all ideas appreciated...
thanks guys!
7  UNITED STATES / Illinois / Anybody know how to obtain a state tax ID number? on: November 02, 2005 09:22:14 AM
I thought about posting this in the business section, but I don't know how often you ladies check that.  Does anybody have a tax ID number and can explain to me how to go about getting one?  I'm planning on doing some research on it, as I've seen all kinds of new terms to me like limited liability company, sole proprietor, etc...  There seems to be a couple of craft fairs around that need you to have an ID number, I imagine this is pretty common.  Any help would be appreciated Cheesy
Thanks guys

9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Iron on transfer ribbon tags on: November 01, 2005 07:47:28 AM
Hi there everybody, I feel dumb asking this because I'm pretty sure I saw this on this site somewhere, but can't find it.  I saw something where someone had made transfers with their printer and was showing how to take that and transfer it to a ribbon so you can add your name/logo to your home made goods.  Can somebody throw some help my way?  Thanks
