21  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). on: October 24, 2006 10:15:31 AM
btw--I used the drops pattern, but had to alter it a little because I think it would have ended up not matching proportionally (when you fold it in half) if I had not. I also shortened it a bit because they had it so it measured 48 cm around, or 19 inches and that was a little long. My panta with their pattern did turn out better though, but I probably would have made it incorrectly if I hadn't made the other 2 before.

I just had to jump in and say this is gorgeous. I'm glad to hear that you used crochet cotton because the first thing I thought of was that it's almost too nice to use. Of course in cotton it is very washable and I think you should use it every opportunity you get!

That color is beautiful--especially for cold and dreary weather. very nice!

Thanks for posting the drops pattern. I'm finding it easier to use than the one written up here before--I've already made 2 fine looking pantas with the other pattern, but maybe this one will turn out looking almost professional. Smiley

These look great--and the backs make them twice as nice.

Bee-yoo-ti-ful! I bought these patterns recently and am excited to get started on them. I love the blue towels you chose and the way you put everything together.

I've never seen one of this either. It is a wonderful idea and your version of it looks fantastic!
