So cute, colorfuldayz!

I received today from lukenlarry. Check it out!

Is it wood burning? I really like the motif.

Thanks, lukenlarry.  Smiley

Very cool, that's the Ravenswood logo: http://www.ravenswood-wine.com/...

No Wimpy Wines is their tagline. They're a winery in Sonoma, about an hour or so from where I live.

He looks so good in his natural habitat!  Cheesy

I used "Distress Stickles" on the wings. Its like glitter glue but not exactly glittery. Very cool stuff.

I really love the way the birdie looks vintage. Tres cool!

I received my bird #2 yesterday as well. It too came from Amaryllisroze!

She's sooooo pretty. Thank you!

I sent 4 packages via Priority Mail here in the US, and then the one to her in China. I was amazed that her package was the cheapest to send!

Ditto that. the Priority Mail and even the one Parcel Post that I sent was individually more than the one Air Parcel package that I sent to Foxlet in Finland! Go figure. It will be interesting to see if she gets the package sooner than her US counterparts.  Huh Seems that a lot has changed (= gone up) in the US Post Office world. I guess I haven't been sending out packages lately. Today all the postage goes up again. We snuck in our packages on the last day before rates went up.  Tongue

Gotta love the color green! All my little birdies have flown the coup. I just got back from the post office. I just walked right up to the counter too. No line or anything! Woot! Tis a good day. I have huge spoilers on my blog and flickr site, so peek at your own risk.

I'm just concerned about the people who can only make one trip to the PO today. I need to go now, and can only send to three people in my group. I'm probably not going to be able to go again until tomorrow. If I get back home and new people are greenlighted this afternoon, technically I'm sending late if I don't send out to them today. I just want to make sure people aren't penalized in this situation.

I hope that people aren't penalized too.  In the sweat shop swap, it was changed so that there were two dates, one for going green and one for shipping a couple days later.  So that this wouldn't be a problem for people sending on the last day (or not being able to) because their partners turned green on the last day.  Maybe we could do that here?  Make today the green light day and then have a 'send by' date of May 2?

How about jumping the gun a bit?...I mean, the others in my group have recently posted that they've finished and/or are awaiting dragonmama's green light. I'm thinking I'll just post them all today as I too only have time for one trip to the PO and unfortunately Saturday will not work for me. Sigh...the stresses we put on ourselves. Smiley This has been very fun though. I hope you all like your birdies!!!

here's my lil' army...they're being mailed out to my swap pals shortly...for the handmade bird swap hosted by dragonmama... i modified the pattern a bit, opting for my own version of the base and adding little pocketses up front and wings.

Woot!  Grin I finally got some time to finish my 5th birdie today. I will take pics tomorrow (for better light) and send to the moderator. Now, how to package them all up. I'll likely send all at once as the post offices around here are pretty pokey and there's usually quite a queue when I go.
