1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Head Huggers Aviator Hat on: December 05, 2006 12:23:42 AM
This hat looked kinda lame on the mannequin but I was inspired by lifelikeweeds' post. So here's my version with tassels! The yarn is Lion Brands' Microspun:

I must aviate!

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Looped Wire Uterus on: October 09, 2005 11:54:23 PM
Yep, you read right! My knotless netting assignment (for fibers class) was to make three body parts that somehow nest together and this is what I came up with. Sorry the pictures are kinda crummy, this was incredibly hard to photograph! There's a retired biology teacher who's auditing the class, and she made a urinary system, so we made them fit together.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Three hats, two rats, and one scarf on: October 09, 2005 11:47:18 PM
Just a bunch of FOs, all done with Caron's Simply Soft.

This hat was from a Stitchdiva pattern (http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SDS-013). I didn't have the right size needles for the ribbing and I figured "why not use the next size up? it's ribbing, how bad could it be?"
This bad:
The pattern is cool though, I'll probably try this one again sometime.
Rolled up? I dunno, any other suggestions?

Anniversary present for my fiance, it's SnB Nation's Basic Cable with an added cable twist and some extra ribbing.

Knitty's Branching Out, this took me all summer and I'm totally in love with it!

A friend is having a baby so I found the cutest bootie and hat set pattern. Right now I'm working on matching duck feet. If anyone's interested I can dig up the site I found this on, it had a bunch of awesome baby stuff.

And because my posts must always contain ratties, here are Jinx and Daisy Wink
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Isis Wrap on: August 02, 2005 09:04:06 AM
I found an awesome thrift store dress to wear to my sister-in-law's wedding, but it's a little tight in the boobular area and needed a bit of coverup. So I made this; it's the Isis Wrap from Interweave Knits, minus the lace. This was my first real garment and I'm very happy with how it turned out!
Me modeling it with the dress.
Jinx likes it, how about you?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Travel pillow pattern? on: May 21, 2005 03:29:05 PM
Ya know the pillows that go around your neck so you can sleep on the plane? I'm looking for a pattern. If it's shaped like a cute animal, that's even better! Grin
6  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / My FOs on: March 17, 2005 12:17:03 AM
Well, here's what I've made so far, enjoy!

Okay, not the best project ever, but my first non-scarf item.

Basic cable, the picture doesn't do the color justice, it's so bright!

Nifty case

Unfinished punk rock backpack, with a swatch of the lining fabric

And just for cuteness, Daisy with a strawberry pillow  Grin
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Flapper hat pattern? on: February 28, 2005 12:08:48 AM
I want to make a hat shaped like these:

Anyone know of a good free pattern?
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Easy Peasy T-Shirt Recon on: January 05, 2005 01:44:27 AM
D'oh, I took this in the mirror so the writing's backwards. It says "Keep on dancing." Anyhow, this was an Adult L tee I found at Goodwill and redid. I love the design! Oh, and the smudge on the boobal area is also from the mirror.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Jeans to pleated skirt on: December 30, 2004 08:11:30 PM
I finally got around to turning my stained pair of jeans into a skirt. This was the first time I'd done pleats and I'm pretty pleased with them. But handsewing through three layers of demin=ouch. So whatcha think?

And just for fun, here's a cute picture of one of my ratties dozing.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First completed project - stripey scarf! on: December 07, 2004 07:59:27 PM
This is my first knitting project, and the first thing I've posted here. Just a plain ol' scarf, but I'm proud of it  Smiley
I learned lots and made a few boo-boos, but the texture of the yarn mostly covers them up.
So tell me whatcha think.
