1  Re: Rusted Root in Knitalongs by lisacb on: June 30, 2007 04:57:42 PM
I finished mine about a week ago, I used Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Maize, 3 full skeins and a small amount of the 4th for the medium size. To get gauge I used a 3.25mm needle but I changed to 3.0mm throughout the torso up to the hips where I then changed back to 3.25mm. The sleeves have some pouf, though I'm wondering if maybe the heavyness of the cotton and the slight lax in my ribbing is what is keeping them down. I think if I had made a few decreases to the ribbing or used a 2.0mm needle it would be tighter around the arm and help keep the pouf up. Overall, I'm really pleased with the end result.

Cynder--I'm using Cotton Ease in Maize and I've gotten gauge on 3.25mm wooden circs.

So far I'm only on row 40, I was hoping to have this finished by months end but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

Everyone's Rusted Roots look great!

Nice work everyone! I'm working on these using Fleece Artist merino in various shades of pink and red.

6  Rib and Cable socks, Interweave Fall 2005 in Knitting: Completed Projects by lisacb on: November 15, 2005 04:47:08 PM
I finished the rib and cable socks from Interweave Fall 2005. It was a fairly quick knit and the cables kept my interest up long enough to finish the pair. I used about 1 1/2 balls of Regia 4 Fadig Color in colour 5440.

I also used Patons Classic Merino, but in a dark brown shade. It was a really quick knit, even though I had some minor hiccups starting out. I'd like to try making this again using Suede by Berroco.

8  Re: Lelah's done! (now with PATTERN) in Knitting: Completed Projects by lisacb on: August 01, 2005 12:56:21 PM
I just have to add the ribbon and mine's all set,

I used just short of 4 balls of Patons Grace yarn in Ruby and a gauge of 22sts/4" so I adjusted the pattern to my own measurements and tension. I didn't end up deceasing enough however as the top is a bit loose but I'm hoping once my elastic is set in the problem will be resolved.

Thanks again Christine for the fab pattern!

Nice work everyone! Besides all the errarta in this book, it really does have a lot of great patterns. I just finished the Cotton Hat (in infant size). I used Mission Falls 1824 Cotton in Pebble. I'm also about halfway through the hourglass sweater.

10  Re: Go everywhere cardigan----Finished in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by lisacb on: November 25, 2004 03:58:38 PM
Knitting this cardigan was pretty quick, the finishing on the other hand took me a while longer. I used Estelle young touch cotton dk in rose for the body and Mission falls cotton in frost for the trim. So here it is, the end result:

(sorry about photo size, if anyone can help me make it smaller let me know)
