12  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / The Debut of Knitty Gritty on DIYnetwork (Season 2) on: July 02, 2004 07:36:24 AM
All I can say is WOW. This is not your mother's knitting show,( not that there is anything wrong with your mother Roll Eyes). It is very well put together, bright, colorful, and hip. But don't think that the coolness of the show, in terms of the look and the projects throws of the important things such as learning about tools, yarn, casting on, knit stitch, gauge, corrections, and binding off. This show is also great because of the KnittyCam, this lets you see the process from the perspective of the knitter in the hopes of making things a little easier to understand, especially that tricky continental knitting. The show also includes the segment called the Knitbit, where knitting facts are discussed. The host Vickie Howell was great and her guest Vicki Square author of The Knitter's Companion (Companion (Interweave)) is a great teacher of the proper method. This show is great and is a must see. Cheesy

13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help! How are these created? on: May 21, 2004 10:38:21 PM
Can someone explain to me how is it possible to not have bound off edges. How to create the workable loops that help to create the handles of this http://www.mightyflirt.com/v_outer_2323.asp?i=726 purse. Undecided I am wanting to know if u can tell me how neither end of purse are bound off  and how to recreate that part of the bag (the part with the dowels going through it). I am sure that I am not explaining myself well, so hopefully the picture helps y'all to understand what I am asking.
Smiley Thanx for all your help.
