1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New MagKnits! on: December 01, 2007 07:01:24 PM
This I think this is the first time I can say I like all of the patterns. I don't think I have the time to knit any of them, but I like 'em.

Thanks for letting us know it was up Smiley

3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Hemlock Ring Blanket Along on: August 30, 2007 02:44:18 AM
hello all,

This maybe the most beautiful thing I have seen it terms of a blanket. I am not sure if I have the time or the money to start this kal, but I did have a look at the chart. By the way this is my first chart project, I have been avoiding them because they seem too hard. I understand that the o on the chart are yarn overs, but what do the slashes mean and I am I to do that process singularly or is it a ktog thing?

Thanks for your help and happy kal,

Rae

I think with the right choice of yarn, 2by2 ribbing, and a few other small adjustments this pattern at the anticraft could work. Maybe. The Beckham hat looks like it has a pattern on it.

I have this set and I think you may have tightened the cables down too much and caused the metal to splay. I think that you should just send them back and remember no to twist so hard next time.

Greenknits

Also don't forget to knit in the back of the M1 increase, that twists the stitch and hides the hole.

Hello Hello meriellyn

Sorry, I have not gotten back to you, but there is never anyone here from Bft so I just stopped checking. There is not actually a Snb in Beaufort as you all ready know, but I was hoping to try and get one started this fall sometime. I am sure there are others here in Bft that want to start a group, but are unsure how to do it.  I am not that great of a knitter, but I enjoy it. So maybe we can get a SnB off the ground together. I know of a woman who works a Muir's printing and she is a knitter I told her sometime ago I was getting a group together, but I have not got around to it. Anyway it is nice to have at least one other person from Beaufort here.

I know this post is a little jumbled, but for give me I am too excited to think straight. lol

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting magazine hunt on: May 14, 2006 09:03:08 AM
Well in that case I really can not be much help, can I?  Maybe there is an online store that can ship it to you. I will have a look and see what I can find out.

Have you checked out Rebecca? I have not really seen this one, but I have heard people speak very highly of it.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: So how about the Summer Knit1 magazine? on: May 14, 2006 08:56:03 AM
Fluffymonkey, I don't know about cool, but they do carry many of the top knitting magazine. The only thing is they carry them in really small numbers like 5 to 10 per copy. So if I am not there right when they put them out, I have just  guaranteed myself a 45 minute ride to the nearest Micheal's and that always sucks. lol Seeing as though I am on a budget and when I go to Micheals I spend money I don't have.

I don't know why my Walmart carries knitting magazines and yours does not, but maybe you could talk with someone in the service department and see if they can start ordering them.
