11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What to put in a learn to knit kit? on: January 14, 2006 04:08:21 PM
I'm trying to put together a learn to knit kit for someone and I'm not exactly sure what I should put in there. I have the needles and yarn. I want to include some instructions but I don't know if I should try and find some online (although I have been looking for some good ones to no avail) or make my own? And do you think it would be helpful to knit a small square so she can see the different tecniques? I learned to knit from my grandmother when I was really little so I don't know what would be good to put in there. Any suggestions?

13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / DC# question on: January 13, 2006 05:55:05 PM
Can you get a DC # on just a regular standard sized white envelope?
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Interfacing Question on: January 07, 2006 09:09:20 PM
Okay, how do you pick out interfacing for your projects? I've never really known which type you're suppose to use for what and I've always bought the same kind for everything but is there different kinds that you're suppose to use for different things? If anyone could help me out that would be lovely. Thank you.
15  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Best Selling Item? on: January 04, 2006 06:07:51 PM
Of all the crafty goodness you sell what has been your number one most purchased item? (Just in general, like, purses, earrings, journals, tshirts, buttons/badges, etc.)
16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Purse Lining on: December 31, 2005 09:43:19 PM
Okay this is probably a really dumb question with a simple answer but I can't seem to figure out how to put the lining in the purse. Like, do you make the purse and lining seperatly and then sew them together? or do you sew the lining pieces to the purse pieces and then sew it all together?   Huh   I'm so confused. I even used a pattern for a pouch that had a lining and I really didn't get it. I looked for a tutorial but couldn't find one...probably because this is like the easiest thing in the world, right? Help, please and thank you!
17  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Long Loopy Necklace Swap 2? on: December 30, 2005 09:40:50 PM
I saw this swap from back in August http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=44691.0and I think it's time for a round 2! I love love LOVE long loopy necklaces, and making jewelry! This would be really fun. Any takers?
18  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Paper Sewing Machine on: December 29, 2005 07:52:11 PM
Do any of you own paper sewing machines? I was at my local craft store today and I saw one. I didn't know that they made sewing machines just for paper.

My question is, do they actually work differently or better than sewing paper with a regular sewing machine?  ...because I've done that before and it seemed to work fine, but it would be cool to have a paper sewing machine anyway...
19  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Ongoing Music Swap? on: December 27, 2005 06:30:26 PM
Okay so I was looking at the unconditional CD swap (round 2) and thought it was a cool idea.

The only thing I didn't like about it was that it was unconditional, which is okay but I'm just afraid that very few people will send out items if they don't have to. I actually pmed the orgainizer of round 2 and asked how many people recieved and it was about half.

So, I was thinking maybe we could have an ongoing music swap, kind of like the wishlist swaps. You would post bands that you like, the type of music that you're interested in and people would create a cd (or mix tape) for you.

Good idea? Bad idea?
