Try looking at this tutorial http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=54769.0 - it seems to be fast to make after you get used to it. If you don't use any closing like zipper or magnet snaps it is just - interface it, cut it, sew the lining, sew the outer fabric, sew them together. not so many steps like bags where the sides are separate pieces and the bottom is a separate piece as well. As for the closing if you need it, I guess velcro should be the fastest to make? Magnetic snaps take time and do not allow mistakes and zipper would also take more time... Maybe little flaps with buttons would also dot he job to close bags?

Here is the latest of mine: I used scraps of blue faux fur and black fabric for the outer part and nice black and white fabric for the lining. (I'm not sure if the lining matches but i liked the fabric so much that had to use it) Thanks Randa326 for a tutorial (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49235.0) that helped me to figure out the zipper part Smiley

I had to stich the stupid squares together by hand because it was such a pain to make my machine sew straight - the fur kept sliding sideways.
It has a zipped pocket inside and a cell phone pocket which didn't turn our very prettyl...but it holds the phone anyway so I don't mind Smiley

I also made a hat (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/ronyo/shapka14.jpg) and hand-warmers-thingies (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/ronyo/warmers.jpg)of the same faux fur (didn't think such a small leftover piece of fur would make so many useful things!) so now they all are going to match Smiley Smiley

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific Smiley I want to add these pockets inside my bags. Bags of different kind - well, "jordy" bags, for example.

I would look at this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49235.0
I mean, not the purse itself, it's probably too big for you since it has books and stuff in it, but the tutorial. I've just made a rather small purse using this nice idea. And it has a zipper-closing which is rather easy to make in this pattern.

I would be very grateful if somebody could give me advice on cell phone pockets!
I have tried a couple of ways to make them but each time they turned out not exactly as I wanted them. I mean, they could fit the phone but didn't look nice at all Smiley Please, help! Smiley

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley
This is so funny Smiley
And I'm so impressed with the hand stiching! Just as Ezri_B said - I wouldn't make it so neat even with a machine!

I'd like to add if nobody has before: the width of the "rectangle" you stich at the very beginning is the best when it's the width of the zipper "teeth" + 3 extra milimeters. It usually works for me perfectly Smiley

Thank you so much! Smiley
Today it got colder and I wore it for the first time - I liked it no matter what my Mom says (she says I'm too old for such dorky hats but I'm not that boring!  Grin )
