Your corset looks great, the teal and dark blue/purple of the skirt are an awesome color combo! Also, your boyfriend looks like Seth Rogen! Jealous!

4  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 62 ENTRIES / MARS; it's just not Earth. on: May 08, 2011 08:34:48 PM
I love it when you have a project in mind and you find the perfect fit for it in your overwhelmingly excessive stash. Problably not that surprising since your stash is... overwhelmingly excessive. This tote is made from a recycled sewing attempt, vintage thread, paint and markers and rope that I already owned. Made to carry anything and everything.

I decided to go tongue-in-cheek with this challenge, so there's a little less green and blue than there would and/or should be. I mean it more as a tribute and an eye-opener, but with a subtle message with handwritten lettering and a simple image.

Mars--it's really not that great!

Earth--it really is!!

Thank you for looking Smiley

Super super cute!!
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Twisted reversible crochet cowl on: January 07, 2011 08:01:06 PM
I made this cowl for a final project for one of my classes this last semester, but more importantly I also made it for this challenge!  The planets aligned just right for me to get two birds with one stone. This cowl is done in single crochet with two strands of navy acrylic yarn with two patterns of cabling and is finished with a twist in it. The snowflakes and scalloped edges are crocheted with white cotton thread. I love love love the cables, it's just a series of interlocking loops instead of double crocheting around the posts, I think it looks much more attractive!  Sorry for the crummy pictures, the cowl is still sitting in the classroom to be picked up. Oops!

Its super soft and cuddly Smiley

I also made a tute for this type of recon here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=290754.msg3301652#msg3301652

I am inclined to believe that cutoutandkeeps tute was inspired by mine, but who can ever really know, right? I have just kept seeing these pop up like crazy since I posted though!

Yours is adorable, by the way Smiley

His cuteness factor gets multiplied by 20 when you think of him as baby The Librarian! Of course, his cuteness factor was already off the charts. Really well done! I hope you're really proud of yourself!
