I bought the BOYE set last night. I got part way into knitting a purse, and as I was putting needle protectors on the needles, the cord snapped!!! the plastic cord broke off from the metal attachement! I'm so upset. It's not like I was putting too much force on it. and nowhere on the packaging does it say not to use needle protectors (lol)... It was a pain to slip all 100 stitches onto a holder. definately exchanging my kit...

anyone else have this problem?

I lost a mitten! My first project other than a scarf, a pair of knitted wool mittens, and I LOST one of them!!! I was so proud of them, I feel like I've lost a part of me *sniff*

I'm still looking around for the mitt, should I re-knit it? Has anyone else everr lost a knitted item that they were proud of? What did you do?

I've read about the "curse of the sweater" in a few places... if you knit a sweater for your boyfriend or significant other, the relationship is destined to end shortly. IT'S TRUE! Or, in my case it's the curse of the Hat. I knit my boyfriend a Jayne Cobb hat for Christmas. He LOVED it. He broke up with me 3 days ago . I blame it on the hat!

Anyone else experience this curse? I should have known better! (lol)

that is gorgeous! I love how you used different sizes of crystals. I was tempted to cover my iPod with swarovski flatbacks, but I was scared of messing up! instead, I glued a few crystals around the display moniter. It's simple, and makes my iPod unique, I love it!
