Or you could just paint an elephant on skis and see who catches on  Grin

I've just tried this... it tastes nice, but only really tiny bubbles formed in it, so its more like toffee that cinder toffee  Undecided How did other people get those lovely big air pockets in theirs?
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Driving mixtape on: June 15, 2007 03:08:46 AM
I'm making a mixtape/CD (I can't remember which one her car can play :/)... in honour of her passing her driving test, so she has something to play in her new car....
I was going to have them all driving-themed, subtley at least, so far i have Gary Numan's Cars, Hellogoodbye's Here in your arms ("I like, where we are, when we drive, in your car..")
However I've completely run out of ideas, as all the other songs I can find are either about the two of us being in love.... Embarrassed ... or Brand New stylee ("I hope there's ice on all the roads, And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt and again when your head goes through the windshield")... whcih isn't too good.
Suggestions anyone?
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Questions About Hairstyles! on: May 16, 2007 11:41:43 AM
I bleached my hair that I'd dyed with red-black dye months and months beforehand, and I ended up with flame-coloured hair - a few inches bleach blonde where the dye had grown out , then steadily turning orange :/ Didin't matter to me cos I was just lightening it to dye it bright red anyway, but there's a warning...

Thank you!  Grin I'll try the sun and lemon method - does the blow-drying method actually do it without any sunlight needed? Or does it just speed it up some?  Sad
I've bleached the underneath of my hair before, but due to lots of red-black hairdye in previous years that's hung on for dear life, it looked like a giant flame - properly bleach blonde at the roots, then steadily turning orange and light red at the tips  Grin I may have just needed a toner, but I don't really fancy risking turning my head orangey  Embarrassed Plus I have pretty fine hair as it is, and I'm growing it so I'd rather keep it as unfried as possible  Roll Eyes

I have a question - is there any way at all to lighten dark hiar naturally - I'm just talking a couple of shades, nothing drastic...
my hair bleaches a little in the sun over summer, and I'd love to get it a bit lighter than it does naturally, over a long amount of time.... I know that fair hair can be lightened using lemon juice as a natural substitute for sun-in, would that do anything at all to dark hair, apart from me possibly having a sticky head??
I don't want to have to resort to bleach because I don't want that drastic a change  Undecided

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: GCSE Textiles Dress! on: March 24, 2007 09:41:01 AM
I agree, the dress is really cute.

Can someone tell me what GCSE stands for and what the requirements are?

Mim

Its an English qualification - you do GCSEs in your last two years of secondary school (so from age 14-16, ish)
10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / Re: vynal records on: March 07, 2007 02:09:27 AM
I do work at a charity shop as part of a volunteer programme, and though lots get donated hardly anyone wants them - I've rescued a few from getting thrown away, but if the shop isn't going to make any money out of them, you may as well ask about them - maybe just dirt-cheap rather than free Smiley
