1  Re: PostSecret Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by IDareYou on: October 16, 2007 02:35:29 PM
Sorry it took me so long to post.

For some reason I only recieved 11 in total, but here are all of them:

"Looking back, the 40-some-year old male family friend grabbing my butt when I was 12 wasn't something I should brushed off"
back: "Nothing more ever happened, I haven't seen said person since I was 13"

"My dream job: work in a tattoo parlor. I'd rock the counter."

"Every morning I think: today I can meet the boy of my life. And get ready 4 it choosing nice underwear. It never happens but I keep doing it."

"No one believes me when I tell them I want to be a hermit."
I understand the allure of hermitism.

The rings read: "True love waits?"
"I don't think homosexuality is an abomination. I'm not a republican and I curse a lot. But I think if I have sex before marriage I will go to hell."

"I would give him my virginity in a heartbeat."
mmmm. He is very attractive.

The center says: "I wish I hadn't listened"
The background reads: "I was never your friend, you're weird, you don't have any artistic talent, what will everyone think, you're ugly, nobody cares what you think, I never loved you, you'll never get anywhere without me, I wish I'd never met you, you're big plans will never happen, you have to get married, you need me, don't you have any sense."
That hits too close to home for comfort...isn't it weird how we all got ones that really affected us?

"I could really benefit from being on the biggest loser. I need to lose about 100 pounds to be a healthy weight"
Back: "Ugh! I wish I didn't lack the motivation to lose the weight myself!!! It makes me so mad at myself!"

"I really hate my boss"
hahaha. me too.

The left side is an ad for breast enhancement.
"I've thought of caling this place."
back: "A lot!"

"I don't know if the reason I stopped going to church is because I stopped believing , or because I liked sleeping in."

2  Very yellow jumper. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by IDareYou on: July 27, 2007 07:35:25 PM
I made this today.

I winged it.

I'm wearing a black shirt under it and the band thing blends into it.

3  Drawing, Painting and Graphic Design porjects. in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by IDareYou on: June 21, 2007 01:57:26 PM
All done for my high school art classes.

Assignment was to make a promotional poster for local musician, Jeremy Larson. It's all paper.

Self portrait assignment, acrylic on canvas.

Name/logo assignment, sharpies on white paper.

Assignment was to do something in a particular artist's style. I chose Roy Lichtenstien. It's a portrait of my ex lady. ]: India ink and watercolor on paper.

Another self portrait, pencil on paper.

Now, a question for you. I am planning on going to art school after high school. Which of these could possibly make it to my portfolio?
Oh, and, when I used cratster in the past, I was always able to make images work, but now I can't seem to. Does anyone have a tip? Do you have to cast some sort of crafty spell?

4  Another jeans to skirt recon. Only mine's awesome. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by IDareYou on: October 15, 2005 07:56:48 PM
So, yeah, I made a skirt!
And then I drew on it with Sharpie. It's all freehand. There's things on the back, but I don't like what I did there, so I am pretty sure I will just cover them up at some point in the future.
Thanks for looking!
On the floor.

Close up of the drawing.

On me. The typical horrible mirror picture. My brother couldn't seem to hold the camera right. My shirt says 'Peace'

Oh, and this is my first of most likely MANY posts.
Thanks again!
Hope you enjoy.
