I love hankies!  And I believe that all hankies need to be embroidered.  I used a Sublime Stitch pattern for this one.

So I meant to knit this for Halloween and I just finished it, January 27.  Shows me to knit to a deadline.  Anyways it's a nice warm scarf.  The pattern is from Charmed Knits and the yarn is Patons Classic Wool Merino.  I should also mention that this scarf is long.  Very long.  Like film-accurate.  I have to lift it up when I bend over so it doesn't drag on the ground.

This was a hat I knitted for my fiance.  I am Canadian and I call it a toque; he is American and calls it a beanie.  Whatever.  He wears it.  It came out too big--I increased the size for his brainy head--but I will try to gently shrink it in warm water.  In the meantime, it covers his ears.  Aside from that and my sucky mattress stitch, it turned out pretty well.  The pattern is Knitty's Halfdome and the yarn is Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.

This is the first thing I have sewn since high school, in which I made a gym bag.  This is a petticoat with elasticized waist that I made out of some leftover liner fabric and lace trim.  It was loads of fun and pretty easy.  I can't wait to sew more!

This is my first embroidery.  I have done counted cross-stitch before, but nothing more complicated than that.  The pattern is a Sublime Stitch and I used a picture of a temple in Kathmandu as inspiration for the colours.  It's on an old white hanky that my dad gave me.

This is my first posted image, so I hope it works.  Anyways the picture is quite sucky, but the bag is great!

The pattern that I used was the Chinese Charm bag from Stitch n Bitch, sans Chinese charm.  My Oma gave me the yarn as a Christmas present.  It's a sort of verugated red orange and green stuff, which I don't think shows up in the photo.  I knit the thing and then my Mom sewed the lining.  Together we sewed the lining to the bag and whipstitched the handles on.

This was my first knit-in-the round project, and my first self-knit item that doesn't make me feel goofy when I wear it in public.  Anyways I'm super-pleased with it!
