11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: "Floating" Photo Ornaments on: November 20, 2007 04:47:36 PM
This idea will really come in handy since my husbeast and I have to get his godchild an ornament each Christmas. Is there a tut somewhere on how to put the pictures inside the bulb? I thought I remembered seeing that somewhere...
12  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Freecycle Trunk...to funkify or restore? on: November 16, 2007 02:38:20 PM
I hope you restore it! I have a near identical trunk to this in my garage right now. It went to Greece when my mom lived there for a year. I believe it originally was my great-grandfathers. Mine is in amazing condition, except for the leather straps. On the inside of the lid does there happen to be a large label? I just went outside to look at mine. It also looks like the inside of mine had been covered with a plastic type liner over the wood. Now I'm motivated to clean mine up so I can bring it inside and put it in bedroom! The one I have was a key part of my childhood as it held all my mom's vinyl albums and I loved looking through them. Smiley
13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Old Navy has challenged my knitting skills... on: November 15, 2007 04:11:09 AM
wow, that looks really spot on! I bet blocking it will make the pattern pop even more. I'm really contemplating on giving this one a shot...

I love 2 and 6. The minty green in in 2 is a neat organic color methinks!

I love your Miranda yarn, if only because that's my name Cheesy

I second that!  Wink
It's rather rare for Miranda's to find something with our name on it. I don't know about you, but I want to scoop it up just if has my name!

I was always the kid in school without the name keychain thing. i want my name yarn!

Same here! To this day, if I see pens or notepads with my name I am compelled to buy them. I didn't get them as a kid... I deserve them now, after all these years!!!

18  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: where do you get your reclaimed paper? on: September 26, 2007 08:06:09 PM
thanks for all the good advice! I work in a very small office (4 people) so there isn't a lot of paper waste for me to sort through. I've asked a few people to snag me their paper from work. They think I'm a bit odd, but I will live!  Wink
19  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / where do you get your reclaimed paper? on: September 23, 2007 02:44:55 PM
So I'm curious: Where does everyone get their reclaimed paper to make journals, books, etc? My work only has boring print-outs I can save, and it seems like most everyone else I know don't really have anything too fun! I've tried posting on craigslist & freecycle, but no bites so far.

Gorgeous! I especially am in love with the first one. Let me know if you'd ever be interested in doing a personal swap for something knitted!  Wink
