21  Z is for Zachary in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Kayster on: August 01, 2008 10:08:41 AM

Zachary is a nudist.

I can't believe I actually did it!  I finished the A-Z finger puppets by August 1, 2008.  I guess you achieve your goals when you set them realistically.

24  W is for Wayne Willington in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Kayster on: July 26, 2008 03:36:45 PM

Wayne Willington is a politician/superhero who is currently running for office. He pledges to fight white collar crime.

Here is Wayne in front of one of his campaign posters.  He is not only advertising his candidacy but also what his logo would be if elected as a Superhero.

Woah, it got a little windy.  Wayne better fix his hair.  His hair doubles as a helmet when he  fights corporate crime.

25  Re: Pinky the stuffed Bunny in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Kayster on: July 24, 2008 09:14:31 PM
Shes very cute!! Can I Pllease have a tutorial for her??shees so cuuttee!

Here you are!  Hope this helps.  Feel free to send me a note if you don't understand it or have questions...

1.The very first thing I did was wash my sweater in hot water and dried it in the washer to get the felt look.

2.  Then I laid out the sweater flat and drew the shape I wanted with a fabric marker.
-With Pinky the Bunny I made the ears extra long.  Something else that I think really makes the bunny is the shape of the hands and feet.  They add a lot to the character.

3. You should have 4 ear pieces.  I turned them so that the right sides were touching and I sewed the three sides leaving the top open.

4. (Here's the kinda tricky part)  I laid the body pieces right sides facing each other, with the ears between the two pieces.  You sew all around leaving a gap at the crotch to turn it right-side out. I didn't stuff the ears in pinky.  I didn't really think it needed it, but you could if you wanted to.

5. Stuff the bunny generously.  The more stuffing you shove in there the better!  Hand sew the crotch together and add embellishments:  eyes, nose, tail, cute mouth, whatever!

*I kind of folded the ears in a way to make it have that bunny shape like the picture below. Feel free to do whatever you think looks best.  Have FUN

I hope this was informative enough for you to start making plushies!

27  U is for Ulric in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Kayster on: July 22, 2008 02:00:17 PM

Ulric is a college football player.

Ulric is so excited for the upcoming season that he goes to the stadium everyday fully dressed and visualizes himself scoring touchdowns.

Ulric has been counting down the days until he plays the first game of the season in Houck Stadium.  It is 37 days.  Incidentally that's the same day as his 22nd birthday.

Ulric took off his helmet because he was sweaty.  This picture is very similar to his official football portrait.

29  S is for Spencer in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Kayster on: July 16, 2008 07:55:38 PM

Spencer is too cool for school.  He just decided he would drop out of the 4th grade and become a rock star.

Profile with Spencer's guitar.

Ever since Spencer got a mohawk 3 weeks ago he started acting like a rock star.  He wears  low rise tight pants and a skinny tie everyday.

Spencer was too cool to let me follow him around for the day with my camera. He just let me take serious, straight faced photos against the wall.

30  R is for Rain in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Kayster on: July 16, 2008 06:36:48 PM

Rain respects nature. Rain has never set a foot on the ground. She has always lived in the trees.

Rain's boyfriend Nehemiah http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=255966.0 visits her during his time off.

Rain climbs to the ends of branches to study and inspect the specimens that she finds.

Rain is very good at jumping from branch to branch to get where she wants to be.

This is just an AWESOME picture of Rain jumping past the camera.
