1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Pineapples? The fruit :) on: March 24, 2006 06:13:22 PM
It's almost summer, so I thought it would be cute to have little crochet pineapples and coconuts throughout the house! I've got the coconuts down, but now for the pineapples. Here is a picture that could work (except it's knit bah)

Is there a stitch that would make it bumpy like that pineapple hat? I can do the basic shape (increasing and decreasing), but I'm not sure how to get a bumpy/ridgy texture.

Any suggestions?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Beachyish swap? on: March 15, 2006 05:18:40 PM

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet donut? on: February 25, 2006 08:14:06 PM
I've been looking online for a free crochet donut pattern, but I can't seem to find one anywhere! Can anyone point me in the right direction, or help me get started making my own?

Thanks!  Grin
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Kitty ear pattern? I have the hat...I just need the ear! on: February 18, 2006 04:34:16 PM
I'm wanting to make kitty ears for my beanie.....any patterns out there? I don't want anything to fancy (like the kitty ear hat in crochetme)....I basically just want 2 triangles.

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Mesh Skull Cap Pattern Question on: February 16, 2006 08:48:52 PM
I'm working on this pattern:

And I'm stuck at row #4.

4: *Ch 5, 1 sc in next ch 5 loop. Ch 5, 1 sc in same ch 5 loop. (Ch 5, 1 sc in next ch 5 loop) twice.
Repeat from * twice more. Ch 5, 1 sc in next ch 5 loop. Ch 5, 1 sc in same ch 5 loop. Ch 5, 1 sc in
next ch 5 loop. Ch 2, 1 dc in last dc. 16 loops in round.

I know to start off the row, you chain 5, then sc in the first ch 5 loop space from the previous row. But then it says ch 5, 1 sc in same ch 5 loop. Does that mean to sc in the same loop (in the current row your working on) you just sc in?

This whole row is kind of confusing, if someone could clarify it....it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much  Grin
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Quick Pattern Question on: February 12, 2006 05:44:05 PM
I'm trying to do the Chenille Chemo Skullcap #2 (the purple one at the bottom) at http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/adult-cancercaps.html

-When it says to "Join", do I joing with a slip stitch, or do I just pull up a loop, YO and pull yarn through both loops?
-After I finish each round, do I ch any stitches, or do I keep going (like working in a spiral)?

Thanks so much!  Grin
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / I want to crochet something...coconut/coconutish! on: February 09, 2006 01:17:18 PM
I've got brown yarn, I've got white yarn, and I love coconuts. I was thinking of maybe trying to crochet a sorta amigurumi coconut? Has anyone seen a pattern, or have any ideas for something that's crochet and coconutish?

Thankya  Grin
