2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My mum's quilt on: November 14, 2005 06:12:07 AM
This year was my mum's 60th birthday and 40th wedding anniversary (together with also celebrating 20 years since being diagnosed with breast cancer and surviving). She was inspired by a Chinese tradition called 100 wishes quilt and together with the invites for her Ruby wedding party sent all her friends a square of fabric together with instructions, the idea being they would all return their square with a design / picture whatever that represented my mum to them. She then mounted all the squares on backing fabric and added some decoration for herself et voila her very own hundred wishes quilt. It was this that inspired her to start a quilting course, me to Google Reynolds Freezer Paper for her and in the search for said paper discover craftster.........................

I have posted a photo on the Craftster photo hosting

I don't know if that will do it but the title is My mum's quilt (- very inspired I know).

Thanks for looking
