1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: UK INSTANT SWAP (Signups 01/02/06 to 12/02/06, Send 21/02/06) on: February 03, 2006 03:05:54 AM

I really wanted to join this and participate in my first Craftster swap (and I said I'd be up for it when the idea was first up) - then I started knitting the jumper from hell - its my boyf's birthday soon and he wants a cricket jumper (!!!) for the new cricket season. I only re-taught myself to knit in November so you can imagine its quite tricky (IT HAS CABLE) argh so far I have x1 sleeve and back completed and time is running out! I can't start anything else until this is done - I'm  bit weird like that only one project on the go at a time.

So long and short of it is I will have to pass but if there is another in the summer I will be up for it.

the wrong side of the knitting should be facing you rather than facing away from you.

7  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: UK "Dear Santa" Swap. CLOSED Send by: 17TH DEC on: November 25, 2005 02:05:05 AM
I'm not in the Dear Santa swap but just wanted to add my winter story! No snow here (Surrey) but I WISH THERE WAS grr. Last week was the first really cold weather for me and Betty (my baby - hmm - I mean car), and I experienced what I now know is really common for old VWBeetle owners - ice on the INSIDE of the windscreen. Very scary as it formed as I was driving along, my breath froze to the windscreen. Also the seats in Betty are vinyl and freezing cold - perfect excuse to make the cushion for the drivers seat I have been planning.
Anyway I am so jealous of the UK craftsters who have snow - I hope you all get a chance to enjoy it!

I am also looking forward to first swap! It's something lovely to look forward to after Christmas and during that post Christmas pre-spring time......

Have no real preference for date although being ultra fussy (not a normal trait for me I assure any future potential swap partners) the 13/15 Jan and 17/19 Feb are least good.

Hi BeetleBettyZoe!

I don't think being new to craftster matters, as you seem to meet the swap conditions already!  It'd be lovely to have you along Cheesy
