I live in one of the few places that gets snow in Southern California. Problem is my car is meant for "yay! Fun sunny!" weather that people assume So Cal has.
This is my car in the winter:
Nice right? Frozen car that is darn near impossible to see come snow! Especially when you realize "I can't drive my little manual barely off the ground car in the snow" thus parking it until it melts. My car was completely covered last year with the exception of the antenna last year and the snow plow man didn't see it and bam! Silver car, black antenna, white/gray snow... Plus my car looks like a million other cars on the road and gets really lost in parking lots (I've lost my car sooooo many times in parking lots it's not funny).
I remember seeing something about people knitting antenna "graffiti" and thought that's awesome! http://www.knittaplease.com/ABOUT.html
(giving massive credit where credit is due.) But I wanted something colorful, felt like the best time of year when there's no snow (summer!) and looked like a hat. So here it is:
The antenna cosy or as I'm calling it "Antenna hat!"
Up close... It's just an I-cord that is 6 stitches at the top and 12 at the bottom. Sorta' reminds me of a Fraggle or a crazy bird.
(I had planned on doing a book cosy, but I kinda' got busy with school stuff... this was fun and I could do it while "tuning out").
