I drilled 'em.  It's awesome that there are so many cellists on here!

I love these, and I think I have all the materials on hand...one question, though: did the dye stain the pot that you boiled it in at a all? cause I don't think my mom would appreciate me ruining one of her pots!

I love the combination of ribbons and beads, too.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they are D's- I'd love to use something bigger, but then my crimp beads wouldn't fit! The end hasn't poked me at all, but I've only worn them a couple times, so I'm not sure if the wire may start to unfurl...
If anyone else makes these, I'd love to see pictures.

Thanks, guys! BiscottiTogs, here's a closeup of the closures

I basically just put a crimp bead on towards the end, strung on a clasp, and then crimped on another crimp bead and trimmed the end. hope that helps! Oh, and your pins sound really cool!
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Animal fetish necklaces (IMG heavy) on: November 07, 2005 03:28:05 PM
My friend and I had a jewelry-making extravaganza the other day, so I have lots of new stuff to post!
I had these two animal fetish beads, and decided to hang them both on triple strands of seed beads.

The dolphin kinda looks like it's diving!
Thanks for looking!

First off, I'd just like to say that I recently discovered craftster, and I'm in heaven here! Thank you everyone for all the awesome inspiration you've given me!
Okay, so here's my first projest post.  I play both the cello and guitar, so I decided to combine those two with my third love-crafting!-and came up with these:

The "wire" is  an old, broken cello string

I love this one-it has three fake abalone guitar picks, connected with jump rings.

The black "bead" on the bottom is the part on the bottom of a string which hooks it onto the cello.  Because the strings are not at all shapeable, I attached the clasps between two crimp beads.
Hope you like them!
