1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: stitch n' bitch felted marsupial tote on: August 09, 2004 09:54:31 AM
I screwed up the pattern and ended up RT twice, I made some changes so I could finish, but I was wondering, with two RT at each corner, will this screw up in the felting process and come out warped?  I don't want to have to redo this, anybody have any thoughts?

http://groups.msn.com/MiseryLovesCompany/crafts.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=264  So I finished the bag.  I gave up on attaching a pouch as I had some complications, such as sewing it onto the stocking stitch side, I cut it out and picked out the stitches and ran it through the hot water again.  Just need to decide if I want to shave it.

Ok, I'm back.  I spent last night knitting up the cellphone pouch.  Did anybody else find that the pattern did not have the same dimensions or colours of the cellphone pouch in the picture?  I have to redo this, it's very frustrating.  I did figure out that cord thing, pretty cool, should I make it longer then 14" or will that be fine?

It's because your knitting in the round, all the purls are on the inside and knit on the outside, you won't get garter that way, I have only knitted the marsupial bag though, I don't know how to get a garter stitch.

Did anyone else find that they didn't use all the recommended yarn?  I haven't even finished the second skein and still have the third of the main colour left.

Still one question, are you not always sliding the same stitch, and wouuldn't that just stretch out?  Or with puttin the marker on the needle will that stitch be changing and it won't be a problem?  I'm going to see my resident expert tonight and hopefully I'll get this cleared up.

LAWebChick -

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to know, I did end up frogging back before I learned this cause I figured I had to start over, but just back to the picked up stitches.  Now I can start anew.

That would be my marker, how do I get rid of it?  Do I start knitting it in or what?  If I slip this it's going to look pretty funky.  Plus, I've went and right twisted on both sides of the marker, on the two before and the two after, can I leave this, or should I frog, *plse don't say frog* back to the picked up stitches?  Will it ruin the look if I leave them in.  Help would be appreciated, I'm stalled until I get an answer.
