2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Quilt Block of the Month Craftalong on: January 06, 2006 07:53:25 PM
I hope I am not too late? The instructions look fairly easy to follow so I am anxious to give this a try! What a good idea! I love the idea of a quilt or two for next year.
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: I need OBNOXIOUS stories from Holiday/Christmas letters - STAT on: December 15, 2005 11:08:56 PM
My poor Dad wrote to me at Christmas when I was far away. His letters always talked more about the condition of the world, inflation etc than personal stuff. He ended his typical letter at Christmas with " Things are bad and will probably get worse. Merry Christmas, Love Dad"

Knowing my Dad and that he was not referring to his life in that statement, I laughed and laughed and should have framed it.

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Printing on muslin to be used for wheat bag? on: November 17, 2005 03:41:55 PM
Hello! Yes I am a newbie. I have done transfers on muslin but this time I want to print this image on the muslin I am making rice and wheat bags out of. ( the bags are heated in the microwave to be used like hot water bottles) Will the transfers hold up for long since they are heated up alot?  This is the image I want to print. I thought it would be fun as these are all family gifts I am making and this pic is of our ancestors.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Christmas gifts for high schoolers on: November 06, 2005 08:14:36 AM
Just an idea................. I am in the process of exploring myself. I am using muslin, iron on transfers and my graphics program (psp) to make a kind of collage of my son's fav bands. I am simply finding  images I like online, editing and adding a bit of my own touchs, printing and ironing a bit at a time. God knows if he will like it but though I am 48 and he is 17 we enjoy the same tunes so I am hoping. It is sooooooooo cheap too. Mine is big 4'x6' but you could do any size. I will post when it is done.
