Thanks for the optimistic words Smiley It means a lot to me!
12  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Vegan "Bachelor" Boy Cookbook on: August 12, 2007 10:27:07 PM

This was just a plain black journal I picked up at a craft store. I cut up vegan pamphlets and made a collage on the front and back, and then I covered the design with Modge Podge to seal it.

The idea of this book is one I made for my boyfriend. We're both vegan, and he lives 8 hours away...and he's horrible in the kitchen. So, I'm making him a vegan cookbook with easy recipes in it.

How long did this take you? Summer is winding down...so I don't want to make it if it'll take me a month!
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: "EOK" and "nextct"???? on: July 12, 2006 07:46:12 AM
Yes, I saw that when I wrote the pattern down so I didn't have to haul the book around, I put EOK...so my bad. However, "nextct" is what I have. Perhaps it IS next st? I just don't know...
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / "EOK" and "nextct"???? on: July 11, 2006 02:52:38 PM
I am knitting the fishnets from SnBN and I'm stumped on some abbreviations. What does the term "EOK" mean? What does "nextct" mean?
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First Post in *THIS* Forum! Corona Tube-Top with Bow! on: June 15, 2006 11:09:18 AM
So, I'm usually in the spinning and knitting forums, but you girls make some fantastically awesome stuff. I wanted to join in, too, and my mother let me borrow her sewing machine!

I started with a $1 tee I got at a flea market and an old Corona tee that is too big for me now that I've lost a buncha weight Smiley

This is the shirt all pinned up and ready to sew.

This is the finished product. It fits me really well and it's awfully cute Smiley Perfect for summer!
17  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Two (one altered) Newsboy Caps (lots of pictures!!) on: June 10, 2006 05:57:16 PM
The plastic mesh can be found pretty much anywhere, even at Wal-Mart. I got it in the needlepoint section. It's gridded with holes, if that makes sense.

What type of yarn did you use and what size are you? I want to make this, but I don't want it to be too small! I'm about a medium!
