fluffybaka- I agree with Jillie and maasive.. all over would be a bit overwhelming.. my first thought for color on you was a warm color, like red or orange, etc to go better with your current color and your skin tone

RubberyDuckys, I remember you posting all the way back in the old thread.  It's like we've seen your hair evolve! Cheesy

thanks again everyone! ok it sounds like Special Effects is the way to go.. I can't wait! my dad is going to be so mad when he gets home from his trip.. oh well

is there a specific special effects red that is "better" than the others? I don't know what colors they have,  I was just about to look it up

I really like the lighting of the cat's face.

I think that the cow sign picture is good, but it might've been a bit more pleasing to the eye if it was off centered a bit. When I am taking photos of things that are vertical, i prefer the camera to be placed vertically rather than horizontally.

the dog one is gorgeous.

the stone detail is excellent!

and the final cat one, adorable!

for being so young, i think you have a great eye for photographic images and you should keep up the photo taking!
yeah, the cow sign was just intended to show my dad when mom and I got back from a trip, then I ended up liking it haha
thank you soooo much!

thanks so much ya'll! I looked around my local Sally's and i saw special effects and the dye you posted, Jillie.. I can't wait to dye! haha that did not sound as it was intentioned

I forgot to add that the blond i have at the moment is bleached, but I have looong roots.. and I'm SUPER pale so there is/will be an extreme contrast between my hair and skin

how long did the dyes last in ya'lls hair? i know mine won't be the same, but I would like a general idea

ok i just spent about half an hour flipping through all the pages in this topic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone's hair!
now I would love some input on my hair idea
I'm 14 and just started freshmen year of high school (love it!)
since the beginning of 8th grade, I've had black and blonde hair.. natural color, blonde, on top w/black under
like this!:
but I want to go CRAZY and mom says we can when my dad (rather conservative) leaves for a business trip to the other side of the world.
now for the questions
what I want to do:
black all over w/ a fire engine red chunk on the side near the front

questions:
1. Recommended brand dye?
2. about how long will it last and what do i do when my blonde roots start to show?
3. will i end up looking incredibly stupid?

sorry for all the words, thanks!
20  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Best Black Hair Dye? on: September 26, 2007 07:54:02 PM

Different brands and types of dye work better for different hair. Instead, follow these tips to keep the colour looking better for longer.

- Use a gentle shampoo, either specifically for dyed hair or baby shampoo.
- The more often you wash your hair, the quicker it will fade.
- I've been told that using cooler water when washing your hair helps to keep the colour in. That might just be a myth though.
- If you're out and about in the sun, wear a hat. The sun can damage your hair too.

As for the red... I personally favour Special Effects, but any semi-permanent colour would do the trick.
The longer you leave the red dye in, the longer the colour will last (and it will be much harder to fade).

Hope that helps.
that helps a ton thank you! I will try all of that!
