Here are my version of Knitty's knucks.  I opted for the textured cuff and made them pretty long.  I added the buttons to cover up some spots where I messed up.  This is definitely the smallest gauge and most complex pattern I've ever knit, but it was actually really fun and rewarding.  Here is the link to the pattern for anyone who hasn't seen it: http://www.knitty.com/issuesummer06/PATTknucks.html . This is my first knitted thing that I can actually wear (other than scarves and hats and stuff)!  Here is my verision of Glampyre's Ubernatural (pattern here: http://www.magknits.com/chilly04/patterns/uber.htm ).  As you can see, I decided to make it a pull-over instead of button down and the sleeves are shorter than in her original version.  I also had to make the bottom ribbing a good few inches longer to fit my torso.  It was knit with Red Heart Super Saver "flecked" with two strands held together, which I think is pretty funny considering it's supposed to be knit on nice, natural fiber yarn.  I like it a lot though and it was so cheap and fun to make.

So here's my attempt at Scarf Ace from Generation T. I took an old shirt that I had used only for sleeping in for years, took in the sides, and followed the directions for the shirt from the book. Ta-da! Hot new shirt. I still need to take in the top a little so my stuff doesn't go falling out whenever I lift up my arms and I should have made the bottom shape of the shirt a little more flared out instead of just a straight line because it gets pretty tight at the hips/waist. But other than that I love it. Yay!

Hi there! This shirt is based on "Ode to the Mullet" from Megan Nicolay's book Generation T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt, which I happened to pick up last week.  I highly recommend the book, by the way. Lots of really simple but creative and fun ideas for t-shirt modification and recycling (you can even learn how to turn a bunch of old t-shirts into a rug...who knew?).

Anyways, here's the front of the shirt, which was pretty plain and had a weird v-neck thing going on to begin with.



I decided to cut off the weird v-neck thing and make an asymetrical neckline which turned out a lot better than I expected.

It was really simple to make (seriously, go check out this book!) and I think it looks pretty hot. Here's the side view which I think does the back a little more justice.

Hi! This is sewandsew's boyfriend.  (I don't have my own account so I'm mooching off of hers.)  I made this wristband yesterday with some yarn and needles I had lying around to figure out how to do intarsia.  (Of course, I carried the yarn over instead of making bobbins so I kind of skipped the annoying part.)  



Casting off with the skinny little needles was hard because I was using doubled-up worsted weight instead of the lighter yarn the pattern called for.  I finally figured out that replacing the right needle with a crochet hook helped a lot.

Hi! It's my first post so I hope I get this right. Here's a modified Sparkle Hat from Stitch 'n Bitch. As you can see, I left out the "sparkle" part (I couldn't find the paillettes at any of the local craft stores) and added some crochetted chains on the bottom of the sides so I could tie the hat on under my chin.







It's pretty basic, but for a second attempt at hat making, I think it's pretty good. Thanks for looking!
