21  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Eunny Jang's Print O' The Wave Stole- along (Part 2) on: May 24, 2007 01:41:29 PM
I'm giving this topic a bump up.

I've started my Print O' the Wave Stole and so far I've completed 5 repeats of the lace. I'm using this dreamy red laceweight wool and I'm so excited to see how it will turn out. Hopefully it won't go like my Icarus shawl (6+ months) which took forever to finish.

This is truly gorgeous!!  I want my next project to be a shawl, and I think I just found it.  Where did you get the pattern??

it's in Interweave knits - summer 2006 i think...

Violet218 is right, it is from the IK Summer 06 issue.

Thanks again to everyone for the compliments.

It took months of knitting and at least a half dozen false starts to get this thing done but it was all worth it. According to my knitting journal I started this on October 19, 2006 and I was done as of April 25th, 2007. To be fair I did put this project down for most of those months but it was still a time intensive project.

The only mod I made was to use size 4 needles instead of 3. With only 8 rows left to go I ran out of the Grape Jelly color of Knitpicks I was using and I ended up having to use some blue I had to finish it off.

Thanks, I used the colorway Natural Geranium.

I finally finished my Danica after about 2 months of knitting. You can see what it looks like before and after blocking. Made from Patons SWS.

Cute kittyville hat.

You look so much like my younger sister that I actually thought for a second that she was holding out on me about a knitting ability.
