1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re upholstered computer chair on: November 19, 2012 03:17:12 AM

I tend to sit crosslegged on my chairs. The cheap computer chair didn't appreciate it:

So I borrowed my grandpa's electric stapler and recovered it with some awesome ikea fabric (I can't resist ikea fabric. I pretty much buy some with no goal in mind every time I go there!) I also removed the ugly plastic covering on the part holding the backrest up.

Modelled by the cutest little siamese kitten Shocked

Sadly the foam wasn't very thick and I didn't realise at first and... long story short, I have a new diy project: fill in the staple holes in my parquet flooring. Oops? Wink

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: ... And that makes me a sad panda... on: August 05, 2011 03:23:17 PM
You should totally make a sad t-rex! With those short little arms, it'd be perfect! hahahaha

They are very cute, even though they are sad Smiley
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / Re: Sc-fi dinner set (Farscape, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly ) on: October 09, 2010 12:22:12 AM
Skills, you've got them! Hehe. I can never draw "technical" things like that, nevermind on a plate. Did you just eyeball them?
Also I love how your lines are dynamic, not just same size all over.  That in black on a white plate means you had no chance for error right?!

Awesome stuff Smiley
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: My new blue suede pleated hobo on: May 24, 2010 02:43:22 AM
Thank you! Yeah I've made a bag with fusible fleece and it gives great shape but makes it a bit ... stuffed.  Maybe I'll use some in the bottom and sides of my bag (err, if I ever get around to making it).

Oh, wow. I love that bag Cheesy How thick of a suede did you use, and did you line it? I've made a fake suede bag before, but it was tiny. I've actually bought some more to make a "big" bag like this but I'm unsure how to make it hold a good shape ... Smiley
6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Recent with Pictures RSS feed? on: May 03, 2010 08:39:10 AM
I would love to get the recent with pictures posts as an RSS feed. I searched and noticed that last year the idea was brought up but nothing seems to have come from it?  I can see how it could be a bandwidth issue, but if we could just get the "thumbnail pics" that are used on the boards, it would be GREAT! Smiley
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: LOLcat embroidery teatowel on: February 16, 2010 10:27:06 AM

lody, your face looks so familiar, but i have no idea why
Well, I'm not scared/worried about showing my face online, so you may have seen it on here or some other forum I frequent before? Or I just look like someone you know xD
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Show Off Your Hair! on: February 05, 2010 01:36:03 PM
It's been a long time since I've posted my hair here, and I took pictures the other night, so.. check it out. My curls. Smiley

And trust me, they take as much time, energy, and thinking as any craft.  Especially when you start dabbling in the homemade curl products!
