thanks ya'll for the nice words!  Yes, I used the TLC Amore' yarn the pattern called for.  Not the greatest yarn to work with but I really do like the end results.  I would love to see the finished one in Gryffindor colors, what a great idea. 

This is from July's Crochet Today.  I added a space for a ribbon.  I love it, almost enough to wish I had a girl instead of two boys.  I cant wait to see my friends little one in it!   i hope you all like it too!

Great job!  I learned to crochet when i when i was about 5 (very long time ago) and when i learned, my grandmother only knew Brit terms so when I started to read patterns as an adult i was totally confused for a bit!  Your cat is very cute!  Mine would never allow me to "dress" them.  Keep it up! 

use any color you like!  When I look any pattern I never ever pay attention to the color  of most patterns.  I tend to choose whatever strikes my fancy    Just be sure the yarn you choose is the same weight that the patterns calls for or at least make sure the yarn is all the same weight, if you are using more than one color.  If you fall in love with a fatter or skinnier yarn than the pattern calls for, try a bigger or smaller hook and ALWAYS make a gauge swatch.  I hope this helps.  I can't wait to see it when you're done!

Thank you both!  I really love Noro, my only complaint is the gauge of the yarn, itself.  one second its fluffy and fat and the next its skinny like thread.  I think next time I have the cash to spend on Noro I'm going to try felting it.

Finally finished!  Noro is a bit on the expensive side but sooooo worth it!!!!! Finally, something I made and i actually get to keep it!!!  I hope you like it as much as i do!!  

I made this for a friend who requested it be a bit bigger than the pattern.  i added a crab stitch to finish off the top.  Since I had some extra yarn, I figured a girl needs a place for her ID and $$ so now she has a mini !!!!!!
