Thanks a lot!

The pink fabric is from an old sheet, that was then turned into a pillow case and now -- nearing the end of its life -- into a cushion cover.
The wadding is part of an old pillow.
The swatches are all off cuts from numerous past projects and were hand appliqued on. Nice and bright for the summer!

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Party for your ears! And a martini. on: October 19, 2007 09:02:39 AM
They're lovely! I bet they fall really nicely too. I do like the colours on the earrings.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas "cards" on: October 15, 2007 01:59:50 PM
After running low on card ideas and getting a bit depressed that they only get thrown away afterwards, I thought I'd send out little felt hearts for people to hang on trees. The "Merry Christmas" labels are the sew-on labels you get for school uniforms, but were only a couple of pounds for about 30. Anyway, hearts developed into trees, into crochet etc. I thought I'd attach a card luggage label for the message and pop them in an envelope.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: A few months' worth of FOs (very IMG heavy) on: August 29, 2007 05:12:43 AM
Your work is very inspiring! I love the mitts and the low v-neck.

The work looks impeccable!
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Knit fuscia bag on: August 11, 2007 07:06:31 AM
I bought these round plastic handles in Newtown and wasn't sure how to use them. The fuscia is a shameless rip of a Lulu Guiness bag.

Beautifully done. Very nice indeed!
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Little Bird Weekend Bag on: January 05, 2007 01:30:01 PM
Here's a weekend bag made out of the offcuts of a jacket (the grey wool) and small amounts of fabric salvaged from making a skirt (the birds and flowers). It's lined with the offcuts of the lining of the jacket (grey satin). It has a concealed zip along the top edge.

It fits a lot of clothes and is a handy size, but the sides just a little too soft -- it shows the bumps too obviously!

The handles are rope covered by the fabric and the little bird is cut out from the fabric and stitched on.

That's a very nice bag! I like the shape and the workmanship looks very professional. Nice one.  Smiley
