3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Serger reconmendations on: September 20, 2006 07:36:17 PM
What brand do you have? I have an elna. It's my second elna.
What do you like about it? I'm spoiled so I have a computerized one. It has a boatload of stitches and adjusts the tension automaticly for each one.
What do you hate about it? That broken stitch finger. not being a 'simple' machine
Would you buy it again? I got it for a song so that helps..
About how much did it cost? Not too much, I got it as a trade in. (I totaly recomend that- let your local sewing machine sales person know you are on the look out- someone trades in their machine for something else, they referbish the machine, you get a smashing deal.)

do you know what model it is?

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: from costume to dress on: May 11, 2006 03:05:13 PM
i would go with what xveganettex said, also, maybe take the lacing off the front to make it abit more sophisticated. i had a dress that was from the costume dpt but all i had to do was take the "corset" lacing off and i wore it to a wedding
