41  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How much do you need to change a pattern to make it yours? on: November 11, 2005 06:14:06 AM
This is an interesting question because I seems I see the same baby booties in different pattern books and online (e.g. www.shescrafty.com has a baby booty that looks a lot like the ones I have seen in the Debbie Bliss books and in the book Knitting for Two by Erica Knight).

There are a lot of patterns out there that are super similiar.

Kewl...for some reason I thought the color would come out all even. Welll Joann's has wool-ease on sale for 1.77 per skein - enough reason to try it out for myself.

44  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty Gritty - Mixing Yarns Question...Need help on: November 10, 2005 06:48:32 AM
On the mixing yarn episode they showed a swatch using 2 different colors of yarn to create a variagated look. How is this done. Just dropping and picking up the different color yarns at will?

Glampyre Knits has a knit version and they call it a boob holder. Very cute.
