1  Re: Am I a Smug Married???? (Wedding Portrait Dilemma) in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by alexafree on: March 31, 2006 11:25:05 AM

Here is the offending picture. It's not so much that I care what others think as much as I think I have possibly become a smug married. The other day I caught myself trying to convert a singleton to marriage-dom. I wasn't sure if I was too far gone or what.

Thx Guys.

Thanks for the little nudge I needed to go for a bulky cardi. Love your FOs. I am also going through a "teal" thing.

I have been pining away for some of this stuff but saw a post that this stuff felts and pills at this blog http://www.knitfix.blogspot.com/. Any one had any experience with this? I've been wanting to make either Glampyre's bulky cabled sweater (did you see the pic of it at knitfix?) or Blue Alvarez' Hot Lava http://www.bluealvarez.com/bluealva/.

It seems yummy and I must have but I'm concerned that it might start pilling.
Also I am a size 16 and wonder how huge a bulky cardi is gonna make me look?

I have a few tips for this. This yarn is gorgeous after washing, but only if you do it right. Any wool will look the way you described if the person washes it wrong. I washed mine according to thisarticle, and it turned out great! Not felty or pilly at all.

And I am a size 16 or 18 depending on the clothes... and I look great in bulky sweaters! Just make them a little formfitting, if you go loose and bulky, it will look lik a sweatshirt  Tongue Here is a pic of me in another type of bulky yarn sweater:
