I found this craftster's blog through google, and couldn't find any post by her.  Her cabled panta is really cool!

12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Gifts for teenagers?!!? on: December 12, 2005 02:53:01 PM
One of the coolest gifts I ever got was a dollar store fishbowl vase filled with apples/cinnamon dollar store potpourri and a cheap strand of christmas lights. Cover it was some lace leaving the end of the lights with the plug out, and tie with red ribbon. Plug it in and it lights up and makes the potpourri smell really good.

I always make trail mix for everyone, with honey nut cheerioes, chocolate chips, dried fruit, almonds, and whatever else I feel like putting in it.  So many people go on car trips and take it with them.

15  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beauty Sercrets Here on: December 12, 2005 12:24:48 PM
The best acne fighters are a 2% salicylic acid cleanser, with a 10% benzoil peroxide cream twice a day.  Add a microdermafoliant for scars.

My personal recipe is Neutrogena Acne Cleanser, Clearasil Ultra on T-zone twice a day, and Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Facial Peel twice a week.  When I near that time of month I put the Clearasil all over my face. I spent 15 years trying to get rid of my acne and tried perscription stuff as well as all the expensive stuff.  Just a note-the perscriptions and the expensive stuff have some amount of the above in them, along with mainly expensive perfumes or labels.

I highly recommend Paula Begoun's books, such as

All I have to say is go to Scottsdale and walk around downtown.  There's all sorts of shops that might be interested.
17  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Unconditional Swap - December on: December 12, 2005 12:03:15 PM
I am in Atlanta, GA, USA.
1. Homemade candles or soaps that smell like food Yippee! Thank you!!
2. Something Japan-related or map/globe-related
3. Something you make that is unique to your talents.  I guess what you would consider your 'signature item'.

My livejournal is a plethora of personal info: http://www.livejournal.com/users/ishylynn/

(Just want to note that I am extremely allergic to lavender.  It's a very rare allergy, but pretty severe.)

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Men's Hat Patterns on: December 12, 2005 07:19:31 AM
I saw the thread for the scarf patterns and am still contemplating those, but here's my problem.  My dad and my brother are so conservative, that the hat has to basically be as ordinary as possible. I tried just a plain black hat with the k1p1 rib brim and stockinette, and my brother didn't like it.  Everything else I've showed them pics of they don't like much. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions.
