1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Stampaway 2011! on: June 22, 2011 02:46:10 PM
(I hope this is ok here Mods  Huh )

Stampaway 2011, is anyone going? I went last year for the first time even though I am less than an hour away. It was awesome. So many awesome vendors, demos and inspiration. I was close enough to Tim Holtz to pinch his cheeks!

It's hosted by a stamp store from Cincy and this is the 19th year for it.

I don't post very often, but I have been a lurker for years and would love to meet some other Craftster people. Here is the website for information.

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Looking for websites for a gift on: September 25, 2009 02:26:08 PM
My sister's birthday is coming up and she wants some wall art for her new apartment. She is looking for dining room art and her office/craft space. The office furniture colors are red and black. I am not sure the colors for the dining room matter. She is into kinda earthy colors, some bolds, birds, flowers/plants, and kind of odd things (she has a 6 ft silhouette of a buffalo on her living room wall). If anyone thinks their art fits the bill could you please list your websites. I am trying to do more handmade gifts this year. I tried to browse etsy but it was kind of a roundabout way to go. I figure this will get more precise options.

Thanks!
amanda
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Totally Funky paper on: September 23, 2009 09:55:01 PM
I remember a post ages ago about "alternative" styles for scrapbook pages. Now, personally I have always really enjoyed Basic Grey's products, but this line really takes the cake. I think it's so awesome, and although some of you may have already seen it, I feel it's important to post here. I plan on going to Archivers this weekend to pick this up!

4  COOKING / Dessert / Meat Cake on: May 17, 2009 11:37:44 PM
So, I was inspired by a post here. Someone found a website that had a meat cake. I knew I needed to make this and I finally did for my husband's birthday. I used about 3lbs of a lean beef, and about 1.5lb of ground pork. I would have included some lamb if the store I went to had it ground. I forget what I throw in my meatloaf, it changes every time. I know it had onion and garlic. I did a filling between the layers of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. The frosting is mashed taters and the writing is just ketchup.

ignore my messy stove. I just made a huge, greasy meatloaf. Smiley
