1  japanese style bindings (pics) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by spaceholiday on: November 06, 2005 06:34:43 PM
this weekend I sat down and tried a couple of japanese style books.  I think they're all right - once again, my pictures turned out a bit yellowy.

2  aww, my first flat-back spine book! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by spaceholiday on: October 23, 2005 06:58:29 PM
I thought I'd post this little book I made last weekend.  it's about four and a half by five and a half inches and has seven signatures, the first and last signatures being single-sheet mulberry paper sigs that I laminated together after sewing the book and then laminated into the covers after I had cased the book in.

my photos are a little yellow - sorry about that.  the following images are clickable thumbnails, so if you want a bigger image, just click it.

and there you have it!  any constructive criticisms would be great - I know that since it's my own work I'll see more flaws than others probably do, but feel free to point anything out.  thanks for looking!

3  Re: Crafty But Stupid: YOUR CRAFT RELATED INJURIES HERE! in Stitch And BOTCH by spaceholiday on: October 18, 2005 08:39:40 PM
I was making a cased-in portfolio to store some prints in yesterday.  I was cutting some book board with my trusty metal straight edge and craft knife, when - UH OH - the knife jumped the straight edge and went into two of my fingers!  I went to the ER and got all patched up (no stiches, woot), and then decided to make my injury into something funny.
