Checking in and trying to craft in between working!

It sounds like a great idea.  What would rent be in your area?  Around here, a small storefront would be at least $1200 per month.  You'd need to make at least $8000 per month to cover that at a 15% fee.

You have an excellent idea, but you should work through the numbers to estimate your expenses.

Perhaps take a look at dog clothing at pet stores to see what is available mass produced.
How would your product compare to it?

It sounds to me like a perfect opportunity to get your work out there.  Put together some samples to keep at the groomer.  Offer a limited amount of sizes and fabric choices to start with.  Get an Etsy store started and get some business cards to add visibility.

So long as you use good quality fabric and have decent sewing skills, you will be fine!!!

I think its a great idea.  T-shirts are a good price point and perhaps you could do something (add a sash etc) so the shirt could be worn after the baby is delivered.

Very nice costume - love the colors.  Clowns are creepy but you look amazing!

I've been feeling so "under the weather".  I'm sorry for the delay in posting all this great loot!

From Atsuko - lots of cute birdies and a crochet book!

The three birdies are adorable and are occasionally known to find hiding places all over  the house.  They posed quietly for this photo.  The pendants are adorable and the bottom one is Kiwi the Quaker Parrot.  The others are wonderful likenesses of my beloved budgies.
Lana also colored a  picture of a bird for me, but that has a prominent place on my bulletin board at work so I don't have a photo of it.

From skaborsk - A crochet book and a crochet hook, a cute ghost pin from my wist, that I have been wearing on my sweater, and some beautiful soft yarn in a soft shade of grey, just the right color for a robot!

Thank you both so much for the amazing goodies!  Your effort (and excellent choices) are very much appreciated.

Thanks oneredboot for all these nifty things!!
