I made a bag from pure wool (Holiday 100% pure new wool) but when I felted it only parts of it felted!! you could see the destinct lines where I used a new ball of wool. It was all the same colour and lot number. I tried a second time to felt it but the bits that didnt felt first time still didnt felt the second time!! The bits that did felt went perfectly!!. Any suggestions?? am I doing something wrong? I washed it in the washing machine with a pair of jeans in really hot water and cold rinse for a full cycle.
The wrapper even says "suitable for felting"

being felted wool they would make very effective overpants for a cloth nappy.!!
