5991  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: POKEY WALLS HURT OKAY. new room, help puhleaze. on: November 09, 2005 10:38:43 AM
I'm a bit of a daredevil with color, and if you pick a color that makes you go "OOOH!!!" I think it usually works out fine. Be sure if you are painting with rollers to get the super thick fluffy covers for textured walls, and count on more paint that usual. And have FUN!!! Decoration your own bedroom the first time is a blast! (and every time after that, too!  Cheesy )
Also, consider things like fabric on the walls or hanging foamcore from the ceiling to mount your posters if you have trouble with nails/staples/whatever in the walls. And...maybe you can make a slipcover for the current bed and put on pillows to give it a "couch" look...use foam or batting to make it soft...

5993  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Imperfect dildos and butt plugs on: November 09, 2005 07:21:31 AM
okay i've seen a dildo once, but what's a butt plug look like?

*innocent*

*destors innocence* It's like a cone with a little tube thingy and then a flarred base.

Think of a very small traffic cone, LOL. Hey! You could set up road blocks for very small cars!

5997  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: I LOVE MY DOG TORSO! on: November 08, 2005 07:52:57 PM
Yours turned out so well I was inspired to make one too!  Mine is canvas - it's for my son when he graduates from primary school.  He wanted an "autograph hound" like the ones you see in card shops that come with a permanent marker - you'd get your friends to sign the little doggy.  I think this pattern makes a nicer looking version.

(I forgot to sew in the circles for the feet, but that's okay because it still stands and uses up less stuffing that way).

My mom has one of those from High School! I can just see her in her cateye glasses and poodle skirt!

Nice Torso! LOL
5998  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: juicy juicy jugs on: November 08, 2005 02:36:33 PM
I use them to store dry goods, such as different types of flour etc. I buy a lot in bulk or "Bob's Red Mill" in those plastic bags, so I stick the label inside against the glass so I'll know what it is, the juice bottles keep them very well.

Did you take any pix of your costume?? What a great idea!

You could do fall colored silk parasols. Or I'm thinking some type of scroll-ish thing, maybe with love poetry? (half-formed idea)
