I've actually considered doing that to my laptop.... My laptop is already pink... I'm just looking for the perfect Hello Kitty sticker to use for it. Smiley
52  UNITED STATES / New Hampshire / Any NH Scrapbookers? on: September 23, 2005 02:59:02 PM
I've been really interested in trying scrapbooking, but I'm kinda nervous on where to get started.... so I was wondering if there were any other NH scrapbookers around that might be able to help me get started and keep me on task.

Hi there, a new New Hampshirite here. I'm from Chichester, NH and am a computer engineerirng student at NHTI.

I'm a beginning knitter who is getting very frusterated with the way my mother is teaching me (she's not doing much to help me learn how to fix my mistakes... sigh!) and I've just begun to make beaded bouquets! Smiley

Welcome to the Concord area, muchachaK! I think pretty much everyone's gotten it covered what there is to do around here, cause I can't seem to think of anything else!

That's really lovely! Out of curiosity, how big are the beads that you used on that?

I'm getting married next August and I'd been on the search for projects to do for my wedding day... and via a wedding board I belong to, I found a girl who had made beaded bouquets for her wedding and she posted a link to some instructions on how to do it. I'd seen beaded bouquets before on several different wedding sites and they were always in the $300 to $500 range... I loved them, but they were just waaaaaay too expensive for me. So, when I saw that you could make them yourself and the instructions looked pretty easy, I just HAD to try making them. It's recommended that you use Swarovski crystal beads, but since I just about choked when I found out how much those beads cost, I decided to try making bouquets out of a bunch of assorted glass beads.

The bouquets are still in progress, but I figured I'd share what mine looks like so far:
