23  UNITED STATES / New Hampshire / Any Concord area craftsters want to get together? on: August 15, 2006 11:39:38 PM
Now that my wedding is over, I am BORED! Soooo... I was wondering if there were any Concord area craftsters who would like to get together and do some crafty type stuff just to get me out of the house. We could do Borders or somewhere.... If you have a suggestion, I'm more than willing to oblige!

purdy.. what kinda yarn did you use?

Just a skein of that Caron One Pound... I had it kicking around, so I figured I'd use it for something.

28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Neil's Scarf on: December 22, 2005 04:26:32 PM
When the boys at school found out I could knit, I got comissioned for a few projects.... Neil's scarf was one of them...

Here's a picture of it in progress:

Here's a picture of Neil wearing the finished product:

He wanted something that was going to match the spirit of his hat. I think they tied in quite nicely. They're not exactly the same, but they complement each other quite well....

The only thing I didn't really like about it was the scarf seemed a bit short to me, and the edges ended up rolling in more than I expected them to despite the fact I made a border.... but nonetheless, Neil was thrilled and he paid me enough to buy my fiance a Christmas present. LOL!
29  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Wavy Gravy Scarfs! on: December 22, 2005 04:21:45 PM
Who knew that some rather ugly veregated yarn would knit up into two really nice wavy gravy scarves?

30  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / To Dye For Sweater on: December 22, 2005 04:19:55 PM
I decided to make the "To Dye For" sweater from the first Stitch 'n Bitch book minus the dying instructions.... This is how it came out:

It was the first sweater I've ever made so I made a few mistakes.... I didn't finish it off exactly the way it said in the book.... and I made the arms a teeny tiny bit too long... but otherwise it came out pretty good!
