I had been eyeing this pattern since it was out. I got the yarn and the pattern over the weekends and here is a pic of my measly progress.

Can't wait to finish it so I can wear it before the weather turns any colder!

I am using Classic Elite Yarns: Classic Silk and knitting with US5 needles instead.

I had started both these projects towards the end of last year and I only just finished the both of them together. Granted, I took about 3 weeks off to knit my KO's project. Anyway, I love them both and thought I will share them with you gals!

Click on the pics for more details.

I finally finished the butterfly I was making for my FSIL. Love it so much that I can't bear to part with it!

Oh well, I will just have to make another one for myself!

This is made with Jaggerspun Zephyr in Indigo.

6  Madli's Shawl in Knitting: Completed Projects by bee17779 on: March 06, 2006 12:29:51 PM
This is my first completed lace knits using laceweight yarn. I love it and am very amazed at how a good blocking can make lace looks so much more gorgeous!

The pattern is called Madli's Shawl and is from Interweave Knits Summer 2004. The yarn used is Jaggerspun Zephyr.

8  Re: Illegal or my first troll... in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by bee17779 on: February 03, 2006 08:40:47 AM
I think Pudruff's post solidifies it for me...

"Panta" is the new, craftster-invented term for "that thing that's not quite a hat, but is bigger than a headband!"

I have posted it in my cubicle as the word of the day in hopes that my fellow co-workers will see it and broaden the use of this new term to non-craftster circles.

The closest thing my Japanese co-worker could come up with is a very old word meaning something like a headscarf/kerchief. She wrote it on a post-it for me, so that I could share it here:

I would like to thank this thread for great discussion, language lessons, an introduction to trolling, and an example of how best to do the right thing.  Smiley

Hello,
Just thought you gals might be interested, that's also the closest chinese word that I can think of for headband and is pronounced as 'TouJin'. The characters that your japanese colleague wrote for head is the traditional one. The simplified character version is 头巾。 I hope the chinese character show up.  Smiley

9  Are they good enough to be sold? in Get Product and Website Opinions by bee17779 on: February 03, 2006 07:22:06 AM
I had been beading on and off for a year now. My FSIL is convinced that there is a market out there for my beaded jewellry and so I had setup a 'shop' of some kind using blogspot. Anyway, here are some of my creation, what do you think? Would you buy them?

You can check out the rest at Jadalica's Beadradise if you are interested. I am hoping you will be.  Tongue I will appreciate feedback of any kind. Thank you very much for looking.

I just finished this a few days ago and I loved it!   Grin
