Ooh, pretty! The lace does add quite a nice touch. It looks like a totally different jacket!

Eheheh...

Those are both awesome! The thumbprint must have been quite a pain to cut out, but I think it was worth it.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Back To School Swap 2? on: June 22, 2006 06:53:17 PM
That would be cool! Signups the first two weeks in July, craft for four, and then ship by the middle of august, so that everything arrives in time for september!

Who did the first one? They ought to be contacted if they're still around.
4  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fruits and Veggie Swap, Round 2! on: June 22, 2006 11:31:17 AM
Ooh, great! I'm totally in love with the felt pouch- It's becoming my new emergancy kit. It's the exact right size for my pads- the ones I like are almost exactly the same shade of yellow. How cool is that? And a key, a ten dollar bil, and chapstick. It's great!

Ok, great!

I got my package yesterday! I'll try to kidnap someone's camera and take pictures of the awesome strawberry and lemon things Peppermom sent me, but I don't know how soon that will be.
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How's Your etsy Shop Doing? on: June 20, 2006 02:24:38 PM
Argh! So many pretty things! ...I think I like the pink cosmo a little bit more than the citrus one I have. Argh! Want.... But I already have one! And the fruty stich markers are back! Synne, how dare you tempt me so?

...but there's earings I want from duplicate daughters, and I actually need a new bag, and... ARGH! Etsy will be the death of my bank account, I swear it. So many things I want.

When you immediately think of the one friend you have who would wrap you in duct tape and smile gleefully, thinking how lucky you are. And then remember the time you made boots out of ductape and giggle madly.

"Darth Vader FOOT!"

Bwahahaa....

Ack! I'm behind! This past week has been crazy (in a good way) with the end of school and all that jazz. I've got a whole item I haven't started!

...But I'm pretty sure I'll make the deadline just fine.
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Sculpey Cellphone Charms [Image Heavy] on: June 10, 2006 07:03:00 AM
Ah have a question about the... loop thingers. How do you get them to stay in properly? Mine always fall out. T_T

I'm loving the apple! And all the smilies are adoreable.

mine come out if I pull on them but I've never had any issues with them just falling out on their own. Maybe try putting some nothces onto the  rod part of the loop before you psh it into the sculpey? Smiley that might help secure it. Or, even if you add a small ring of hotglue around where you put it in after you've baked it.

I have had this problem too. I have tried adding notches or slight bends to the eyepins to help they stay in and they still come out when pulled (Or i actually had a sneezing fit and sneezed a charm right off my necklace). I bought this glue from Michael's that was made for small plastic objects (think dollhouse items) and it works wonderfully. After i bake them if the pins wiggle or come out i pull it out add some glue and put it back and let it dry. That or you could use head pins. They are like eyepins but have a little foot at the bottom. You push the pin in from the bottom and have the wire come out at the top and make your own loop. They work well to because the tiny foot at the bottom keeps them from sliding out.

Alright, thanks guys! I'm off to get some more eye & head pins tomorrow, hopefully one of these ideas will work properly.
