Well I've gone and used that wonderful invention Iron-on Vinyl again. This time on wool.
Lemme know whacha think.

still need to trim those little threads, and you can see where i messed up a bit, the vinyl doesnt like to let go of the presser foot, so i used some old receipts under and on top of it to get it to go thru.

Hello experienced bakers...

I know fondant looks great and you can do all wonderful sorts of decorating with it like in the Woah breaux cake and  the awesome hamburger cake.. but what does it Taste like? I know i've had cupcakes covered in fondant, but it was years and years ago and i don't remember for the life of me what it tastes like. Is it good? or is it more of a for the looks kind of thingy?

Well Here is the second version of my wallet after working out a few kinks.and re-arranging things a bit.
Its made of vinyl coated corduroy on the outside and just regular cotton in the inside except for the ID slot, where I used a pink vinyl. I love it and the vinyl coating will keep it from getting dirty! It feels so nice in my hands, just the right size and the texture is great...nice and smooth.

Well here it is... took me the longest time trying to figure out how to put the zippers on both sides, I think it was just a mental hurdle, once  a few people reminded me of the basics and I looked at some zipper tutes.. it was a breeze... I call this my tester, cuz as you can see, I made a few major mistakes along the way but  hey...who doesn't love making more than one of what they make anyway? 













Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, the flash on my camera made awful pics, so I turned the flash off and just tried to stay REAL still.. it is night time after all. =P

HI, I'm trying to make the zippered section of a wallet on both ends.. Here is an example of what i am talking about ... it has a zipper on both ends when opened flat.

I have the middle section where you put the cards and money already built, as well as the outside and a tab with magnetic clasp. I just cant figure out how to put the zippers in  and get it the rest of the way together. i even have the lining for the pockets cut and pressed.

Help help help help.. please please please.

I am trying to construct a wallet sort of like THIS But with zippers at both ends. Having trouble with the construction ... AKA putting the zippers at the ends.

Any and all help appreciated.. I'm at a stand still and have taken the wallet apart serveal times already.

I just got myself this great old Vintage knitting machine complete with ribber and  and a decades worth of "machine knitters news letter" but it didn't come with an instruction manual. I've tried Google, I've tried Ebay. No luck. Was wondering if anyone could help me get this set up. It has all working parts all in original packing even.

I am trying to remember a blanket I saw here in the Crochet boards....
it was a while ago...

It was black, wavey and trimmed with this fuzzy-ish rainbow yarn around the the edge. I cant remember when it was I saw it.

Anyone remember that blanket?

 Lately I've taken a notice to all these fabulous skirts from interweave, vogue , the greetings from the knit cafe book, even knitty.
 So, whats the skinny all of you who have knit them? How are they holding up?
  I've heard they sag and droop, and in hearing so, I envision  walking around with the dreaded stretched out seat! and all those wrinkles and creases up front.
I know in summer we tend to knit in cottons/cotton blends, and in all other seasons was like to use wool/wool blends and other warm fibers. I'd love to know peoples experience's with the skirts now that they've tried and true tested them out in their wardrobes.
