1  Mini Purse (aka the nintendo game purse no one likes!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by butterlite on: August 07, 2008 10:41:17 AM
Well I've gone and used that wonderful invention Iron-on Vinyl again. This time on wool.
Lemme know whacha think.

Inside:

 and a game peeking out

still need to trim those little threads, and you can see where i messed up a bit, the vinyl doesnt like to let go of the presser foot, so i used some old receipts under and on top of it to get it to go thru.

2  Wallet #2 (IMG Heavy) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by butterlite on: July 27, 2008 03:28:08 PM
Well Here is the second version of my wallet after working out a few kinks.and re-arranging things a bit.
Its made of vinyl coated corduroy on the outside and just regular cotton in the inside except for the ID slot, where I used a pink vinyl. I love it and the vinyl coating will keep it from getting dirty! It feels so nice in my hands, just the right size and the texture is great...nice and smooth.

what do ya think??
(and sorry some of the pics are blurry)

Open(isnt the pink id slot the cutest?)

so you can see the lining in the inside zip pocket

And the main zip compartment for change, and I made this deep enough so i could fit my cell phone it too.

4  My New Wallet (img heavy) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by butterlite on: July 24, 2008 08:57:23 PM
Well here it is... took me the longest time trying to figure out how to put the zippers on both sides, I think it was just a mental hurdle, once  a few people reminded me of the basics and I looked at some zipper tutes.. it was a breeze... I call this my tester, cuz as you can see, I made a few major mistakes along the way but  hey...who doesn't love making more than one of what they make anyway?

Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, the flash on my camera made awful pics, so I turned the flash off and just tried to stay REAL still.. it is night time after all. =P

Comments and criticisms welcome!

Hey I just wanted to post my creation from your tute. It was soo  easy to make and your directions were clear.  This is also my very first quilting project... I pieced the stripes together and made a cotton batting sandwich with muslin then stitched cross grain and a few with to give it a checkered effect. It would be nice if my cam actually had more than 5 psi...but hope you like what I 've made.

the bottom, as you can see i've already started filling it up.

and i added a spool holder with simple cord elastic

You are too wonderful Emms!!

Here is another progress shot...I've been jamming on the mesh, finished the large butterfly squares, and started the mesh joining rounds...I was a bit confused by the directions for the joining rounds, so i just started with the bottom square and have been zig zigging to add them...always starting with the right side, ending on the Left... this is a crappy shot but...for all intents and purposes, it will do.

more progress shots tomarrow!

Well I suppose this is my first crochet-alone... Cry hahaha jk I crochet alone all the time.

Here is a picture of the progress I have made so far. As you can see I've only finished the mesh on 6 of the squares. And I'm sure you notice that one butterfly is missing, well that particular one got drunk and tried to crochet it's self last week  Grin (that crazy butterfly.) Anyway, It's looking nice so far , don't you think?

by the way this is the first pic I've ever posted, I just finally figured it out, but if anyone can tell me how to post my pictures directly from flickr, that would be awsome.
