1  paper roses (Gator colors, yellow/red and tye dye) (pics!) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Glitterandgore on: September 22, 2008 07:46:05 PM
Hey you guys!
So, I had been eyeballing this tut (linked below) for sometime and finally made my own.
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=134959.msg1322839#msg1322839

These are REALLY easy to make.
I used watercolors to color them.
Well, picture time!

Gator colors for a friend.

Yellow and red for mum (her favorite colored rose)

and tye dye for my boyfriend. Wink

It may not be easy to see in the pictures, sorry!

I didn't follow the tut to the T, though.  I used string instead of wire and wire instead of a pin.  I looped gem beads on the ends of the wire.

I hope these inspire.

Feedback is more than welcome.
Well, cheers!

2  Resizing my favorite sweater. Help? (pics) in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Glitterandgore on: September 21, 2008 04:32:27 PM
So, I found this sweater at Wal-mart I think, last winter (I know, I know, I'm a horrible person).  It was the only one left and it was marked WAY down.  As you can guess it doesn't fit.  Well, It stays on but not the way I would like.  I'm scared it will unravel if I cut it and I plan on sewing it by hand.  I'm also scared to make it look wonky.  Any advice would be awesome.

[Edit: Sweater is 100% cotton]

5  Please, help me. I'll die if you don't, no really, I will. in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Glitterandgore on: April 09, 2006 10:45:20 PM
Oh, You don't want me to die.   Grin  I love you too.

So, Here's the problem.

My boyfriend has this pair of pants.  He's had them for bloody ever, and it shows.  The holes in them are so large that when Chris (my boyfriend) sits down indian style his knees stick out up to his thighs.  Yeah, I know, I know.  He isn't as dirty as he loox, I promise.  Anyways, I have promised him to patch them but the pant legs are so large and there is so much fabric I can't fit it on the sewing machine to sew......  Okay, well here's a picture of the pants.

Well, Loved as you can see...

And this is how he wants the fabric sewn...

Can anyone help me and tell me how they think i could sew that how he wants it without having to do it by hand?

PLEASE HELP ME!  Pretty please?

6  making money with my art/crafts/abilties? in Crafty Business Discussion by Glitterandgore on: September 21, 2005 05:09:48 PM
Okay, I really need some crash and with the way I look it's really hard to get a job.  Example A:

So, I thought I could use my large amount of creativity to my advantage and make some money with it, I just don't know what I should make.  I know what I like but my taste isn't really everyone else's ya know?  I've been telling people I know if they want something and don't know where to get it or don't have enough money they could come to me and I would charge alot less and give them exactly what they wanted and if they wanted they could watch it's progress to make sure it's coming along they wanted it to but no one has come to me for anything besides fashion and their hair.

First and for most, I'm an artist.  And I know how hard it is to sell your art.
If I had requests for things I could start out but I can't start out with no prof that I can come through and give them what they want.  I was thinking I have a couple bags and I can post some pictures of it and ask people on here to make suggestions on how to redesign it and pick one of the suggested ideas and post pictures of how it turns out for practice.  Is that a good idea?

And if anyone wanted to buy them, I totally wouldn't mind. (hint hint)

Please, Give me lots of feed back on this cause I have no clue where to start or what to do.  AND IF ANYONE WANTS TO SEE  WHAT I CAN DO DON'T BE SCARED TO ASK, I'LL MAKE THINGS JUST TO FILL UP MY FREE TIME, I DON'T MIND!!

Thank you so much!!!!
