Fantastic. Don't knock your talent, I think your designs and stories are great. I agree that these would make great gifts...I could even see people purchasing them.

I've never worked with felt, but now I want to (along with a million other things I've seen on here and never tried before).

Thanks for sharing...and don't be scared...you should make a doll for being scared of posting.  Wink

Super! I like it.

Good job.
683  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: Disney Love: Mulan Stencil on: November 22, 2005 10:18:57 AM
Mister, I'll make a man out of you...How much do you LOVE Donny Osmond in that movie? Kiss

Great job. I'm such a Disney nerd. I have so many dvds, and the collection just keeps growing. Mulan is awesome, although The Little Mermaid, is still my fav.

The design is so simple, with nice lines,  it would look great on a bag also. Waht is hard to cut out?

Hooray for refusing to grow up!

Hey...I llike that...I'm looking for something catchy and might end up using that.

Thanks for the response.

(I'm starting to get addicted to these boards)
685  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / I found an awesome craft book on using Soda Tabs...who wants to share? on: November 16, 2005 06:34:26 PM
Ok, so I've fallen in love with the whole crafts from soda tabs idea, and went looking for instructions on how to make all that fun stuff.

I like really detailed instructions with photos and came across this ebook called "Keeping Tabs" and states it has 100s of patterns for purses, wallets, even clothing. It can be seen here: http://www.aluminouspublishing.com/

Anyway, the cost is $10.95 and I'm cheap, so I was wondering if people were interested in splitting the cost and sharing the book. It can be viewed in pdf or word format.

Any takes? If we get 11 interested parties, that's only $1 each. :-)

It looks way awesome. They showed photos of a prom dress a girl made. Shocked
686  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Help me pick an ebay name... on: November 12, 2005 09:01:33 AM
I've been using ebay on my personal account for years, but I want to start selling DIY Clothing and would like come up with a nifty new name for my "business" account.

All of my creations will be deconstructs or punk-ish in nature. I like to take old things and make then new again.

My name is Sativa, which I love, and was thinking of using something with that...but I'm not sure.

A lot of sellers already have "DIY" in their name. I like the idea of "ressurect"

I don't know....it's impossible for me to ever make a decision. I'm open to anything really.

I love BMW! And I was introduced to it in college (there is SO much sex in that show!)

My husband isn't a fan of the show and he's asked for a shirt like this. Great job...and of course, your friend will love it. If not, send it my way.  Smiley
688  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Ideas on what to make for baby shower? (newbie to crafting) on: October 18, 2005 10:53:41 AM
I've completely fallen in love with craftster and it has inspired me to finally learn how to make things. I've always had the interest, but never gotten around to it...So, everyone, thanks!

But anyway, I'm new to crafting, and would like to make a baby shower gift for a co-worker. By the time of the party she will probably be about 4 months along. I figure most of the other girls will get clothes, etc. I was looking at those nifty baby slings at Jan Andrea's site, but am unsure.

The father to be is a basketball coach, so I was thinking of maybe something to do with that...?

Any ideas would be appreciated. I have about 2 months to get it done.  Smiley

Thanks! And keep up the great work... Grin
689  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Lite Brite coffee table! on: October 02, 2005 06:19:02 PM
I stumbled across this and am considering making it as a gift...can you change the pattern on the board after you make it? Or are you stuck with what you put in the first time?

It'd be fun to change the pattern with your mood.

690  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Print GOCCO vs Silk screening...which one? on: September 19, 2005 04:34:25 PM
First post here...I've just discovered this place and LOVE it!

Anyway, I would like to print designs onto some of my diy clothing creations and am clueless on when to begin. I would like to use photo type designs for the most part. I don't want to spend a lot of money, so the GOCCO is appealing, but silk screening also seems very economical. I also want something that is easy but with quality, long lasting results. I've seen Speedball kits, but am wondering if I go the ss route, if I should just make my own like in the many tutorials.

Any opinions would be very appreciated. Thanks!
