1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Scrabble Wall Art/Message Board on: September 23, 2007 06:53:40 AM
This is still one of my favorite projects.  A friend is getting married and the couple loves scrabble, so I was thinking of making it for them.  Not sure if I can find the supplies in this little town, and I'm not sure how I would mail it to them, but it'd be pretty fun!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: argyle wall! on: January 30, 2006 08:10:49 PM
Is it all painted?  It kind of looks like it could be paint and fabric and ribbon....you know like a multi media collage?

Either way it's way cool.  I love argyle!  Great job!

Nope, it's all painted.  but the red is a glossy paint and the grey is matte, so that might cause some of the weirdness.  It would've been way more fun if it was a multimedia collage.  Maybe on my next apartment!

post a picture if you do it!

as for being brave, that had nothing to do with it.  stupidity, yes.

this was the first time i've ever painted a wall.  and measuring and crap was way more involved than i thought.  it made for a good weekend project though.

That's what my wall looks like.  I have other pictures somewhere, but that is the general idea.
It took awhile.  I did taped the lines and diamonds off and painted the grey.  then i taped around the boxes so i could paint the red.
Needless to say, it's going to be fun to cover up when I have to move in May.
