1  Red Riding Hood in a Matchbox in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by junebug6162 on: March 15, 2011 07:49:55 PM
I just completed my first matchbox dotee and wanted to share.  Even though she was a little bit of a challenge, I really like her, and I am happy with the theme I chose.  I used an image of a vintage book cover for the box itself, and a picture of a forest for the inside.

Here she is...  (hopefully I am doing this correctly)

All of my dotees have arrived, and let me tell you they are ALL just wonderful!!!!! However, in my excitement I forgot to save envelopes and make sure I knew which one came from who. :-(  I apologize for being so stupid. Ladies, please take credit for your fabulous dotees!!

First we have this little darling.  I love the colors and fabrics on her.  Such a sweet innocent little face too.

Have a look at my dragonfly!  Very creative with the wings.  They are transparent and sparkly!  His tail is like a rainbow when the light hits it.

My totally imaginative magic 8 ball dotee from disco queen.  Love her swingy beaded skirt. Reminds of a little flapper.

And last but certainly not least is this beautiful vintage spool dotee.  Such detail and she is sooo darn cute.

Ladies, if any of you have better pics please do not hesitate to post them.  My camera and I do not get along.

Thank you all for such terrific additions to my collection.

I made this doll cape from two Santa hats bought on clearance for dirt cheap.

You can find the original idea here:

Here are some outfits I have made for my dolls.  I love when Joann's has sales like that on their patterns.  That is how I got all my 18"doll clothes patterns.

Ok gals, stick with me here while I make my first attempt at posting photos.

First I have from grimmlynn my fantasticly fuzzy dotee.  She has the sweetest face, and the most adorable bows on her head!  Green just happens to be my favorite color.

Grimmlynn also sent this beautiful little gal

Then I have the lovely Miss Illinois from Smmarrt.  She has come to live with me after a rather stressful experience in the beauty pageant circuit.

And last but certainly not least, spicytaco sent me this creepy cutie! Is she not fantabulous!?!?!?!  Luv luv her!

Thank you to all of my swap partners for starting my dotee collection off with a bang!  They are all so wonderful and I am proud to have them in my collection.

8  My Very Own Rag Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by junebug6162 on: November 15, 2008 11:55:32 AM
I needed a tote bag sturdy enough for heavy books.  This is what I came up with.  It is lined on the inside.  I used a rug from our local dollar store and scrap fabric and buttons I had in my stash.  The whole project cost me a buck, and just a little bit of time, and it serves the purpose intended for.

I finally got around to making my sewing machine a cover.  I used fabric I had in my stash.  It is lined with muslin.  It isnt perfect, but it seems happy.  I'm happy too.

And I like it!  It's cute!

This is my first post to craftster, and my first attempt at clay food.  I used Fimo.  I collect dollhouse miniatures, and decided to make some of my own. From upper left, ham....roast beef....meatloaf... and spaghetti and meatballs.
