1  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Yes! A garden-only board. on: August 27, 2007 04:52:33 AM
I think there should be a dedicated gardening section - not grouped together with yard art. I know there are a lot of people who are interested in growing things and what others are growing, and are not looking for mosaic-recycled-whatever-they-are's Smiley It just takes a while for me to weed thru all the Exterior "decorating" stuff to get to some actual gardening or landscaping information. Just a thought! I'm glad that gardening is even included on this wonderful website!
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / "Twinkletoes: Footgear to make and wear" by Gwen Evrard on: April 27, 2007 03:44:42 PM

If you've ever wanted to make mocassins, ballet flats, mukluks, tabis, sandals, you need to see this book! It provides patterns (that need to be transferred and enlarged for your footsize) and instructions for many types of shoes. I was so excited when I found this book I just had to post about it. I've seen a few auctions here and there on the internet also, to purchase it for a few bucks. Definitely worth the money!

Quite a number of the projects call for purchasing soles from retailers that might not be around any more. I have not looked into purchasing shoe soles - maybe it is easier than I think, but just wanted  to let you know that a lot of these projects suggest store-bought soles or recycling soles off your old shoes.

Anyhoo, if I had a photo of the cover, I'd include it but I dont. Let me know if you've used this book for any of your projects!
